The country star says she’ll keep doing meet-and-greets but urges fans to respect personal space.
Maren Morris shares that a fan touched her inappropriately at a meet-and-greet before her Dreamsicle Tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on August 23, which caused her to be sexually groped. She mentioned the event via her Instagram Stories on the same day as well.
“Tonight’s concert was amazing but someone grabbed my ass during meet and greet before the show,” Morris wrote on August 23. She also mentioned that she intends to keep the meet-and-greet session so that the fun of others won’t be ruined by the actions of one person.
Morris clarified that she wanted to have a physical connection with the fans: “Please understand that I am there for the connection, exchange, hug, all the things, but please do not force your personal space on someone. Love you.”
Her post does not contain any additional information concerning the incident or any comments from the place of the incident or the police.

It has almost been two years since Maren Morris had her divorce with Ryan Hurd; she expresses her sorrow and renewal through music
This morbid episode in the life of Morris occurs almost two years after the 35-year-old officially divorced Ryan Hurd – with whom she has a 5-year-old son, Hayes – after being married for five years.
“I think the heartbreak ended up being the creative spark for me,” Morris told The Cut in May. She further elaborated, “I’m not capturing the moments of the relationship I did not. I am telling my story of losing, being angry and sad, and the letting go of the pain by throwing oneself into the world again…by reconnecting with your female friends and with yourself.”
Maren Morris: How Motherhood and Self-Discovery Feed Her Music
The singer says her son inspired songs on her EP while she navigates co-parenting and exploring her sexuality.
Maren Morris mentioned that having a child had become one of the clearest creative influences for her songwriting. In an interview with People in March, she said her 5-year-old son Hayes “definitely inspired my song ‘Because of Course,’ which was on my EP.” Morris further stated that even if the song is not directly about him, “these songs are all written after his existence. So whether I realize it or not or purposely, he’s changed something in me now.”
On top of being a mom and co-parenting with ex-husband Ryan Hurd, Morris has been on a journey of self-discovery since she came out as bisexual in public last June. She admits that the exploration has made her understanding of relationships more complex that sometimes the line between friendship and romantic connection is hard to distinguish.

Maren Morris: Instant Bonds With Women Can Blur Friendship and Romance
On the “U Up?” podcast, the singer says she often connects with women far more quickly than with men — and that can make relationships confusing
Maren Morris on the “U Up?” episode in May said that sometimes she finds it difficult to differentiate between friendship and romance because she can get deeply attached with women within no time. “Sometimes I get confused as I can connect to any woman just in like two minutes,” she said. “We might start talking about our childhoods. We could be talking about the bully we had at 13. We will be so deep in the conversation in no time. But with a guy, it would have probably taken years to get to that point of trauma.”
Morris told that speedy disclosure of feelings is the “magical thing” about women, but it’s also the cause of her doubt when those feelings are compared to dating men. “That is the point where I sometimes struggle with love versus friendship as women can connect so quickly and easily,” she went on, “but this is the comparison, I guess, between women and men in dating.”
Her remarks follow Morris consistently being open about her sexuality. She disclosed that she was bisexual last June and candidly shared how those revelations have an impact on her relationships and music.
