Nikki Glaser has lifted the lid on what it was like inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s incredibly private wedding.
The comedian and self-professed Swiftie described the star-studded celebration as “wild” and “the purest love I’ve ever witnessed,” while revealing how she received her surprise invitation, spent 12 hours without her phone, and nearly walked away with a very unusual wedding souvenir.
Taylor and Travis, both aged thirty-six, exchanged vows in the renowned New York venue in front of approximately one thousand guests on July 3, when the wedding ceremony was led by none other than Adam Sandler.
In order to hold the ceremony here, the large arena turned the venue into something of a garden with a natural setting so that everyone could enjoy it. Several guests remarked that the place where they held the wedding turned out to be very quiet and peaceful, and even a place to feel so comfortable.
Taylor and Travis also wrote their own vows, adding a personal touch to the otherwise star-studded celebration.
Nikki began her hilarious, yet emotional, account during her Las Vegas residency, stating that she wanted to talk “a little bit” about the event, which she initially mentioned had “happened three months ago”, before adding “allegedly”.

Even Nikki Glaser couldn’t believe the fact that she got a surprise invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. Nikki texted a friend to double-check if what she was reading was right.
She shared the story with fans on an exclusive video chat in which the comedian was interviewed, revealing just how surprised she was at the text coming to her, who is regarded as one of the biggest Swifties, and who even managed to get her name on the guest list.
“I am a huge Swiftie, probably the biggest Swiftie that was at that event,” she said. In fact, so much a Swiftie that the thought of getting a wedding invite to pop stars like them was totally out of the picture. And yet I was, and I still don’t know them,” Nikki says.
The comedian said she was “shaking” when opening the wedding invite and desperate to tell her friends and family, but the instructions given were that the wedding itself was highly secretive.

So she didn’t tell anyone. Madison Square Garden, the venue for the big event, showed how hard it is to keep stars Taylor and Travis’s privacy as the measures were taken to ensure their safety. Such a tight security setup reflected their determination to protect their privacy.
Nikki explained, “Inside, I was in there for 12 hours. There was no way to contact my family or friends as far as my whereabouts were concerned. I was completely disconnected during this time,” talking about the period she spent there without a phone to capture the extraordinary night that was called the “coolest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Guests were told to give up their phones, meaning Nikki didn’t have a single photograph of the evening she described as “the best night of my life as a Swiftie”.
“It sucks so much because it was like the best night of my life as a Swiftie, the purest love I’ve ever witnessed,” she said.
With regard to the strict no-smartphone policy in place at the wedding, Travis and his brother Jason Kelce both later explained that the decision was made to make sure guests stay present and could enjoy the celebration to the max without any distractions.
Nikki Reveals the A-List Guests at the Wedding
Although Nikki’s anecdotes include no pictures, they definitely include plenty of stories! “There were so many celebrities there. It was so wild,” she said, naming Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, and Julia Roberts as some of the famous faces she saw.
But what fascinated her the most was seeing some of these people alone without any of the usual entourages she would expect to see with them.
“Some of these celebrities were alone. And these people are never alone,” Nikki said. One of them was Jennifer Lopez! “J-Lo was alone. J-Lo was kind of like a wallflower. Like, alone, awkward,” Nikki joked.
Having previously met the singer and actress, Nikki approached her, and apparently the two became unlikely companions for the evening. “We were like pals all night,” she revealed, followed by an even more surprising routine about her journey of taking Jennifer to the restroom.
The interactions between Nikki and Jennifer, unsurprisingly, were played out for laughs, with the comedian joking that she had to introduce the superstar to the idea of a public restroom.
Her description of Jennifer attending without an entourage, however, did give a unique look at how different the atmosphere inside this tightly guarded celebration was.
The celebration further had a performance by Stevie Nicks, said Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts, who was there when the wedding took place.

Perhaps Nikki’s weirdest bit and funniest confessions was her explanation that her drive to get a little something from the wedding was so great that she actually tempted to take a wedding souvenir after realizing there were no phones or cameras around. “I was really close to stealing an object from it.” I want one cool artifact from this,” she confessed.
Late into the evening, Nikki found herself close to the wedding cake, and with everyone dancing around it, she joked that Mark Zuckerberg was “doing the robot” and Jelly Roll was “doing the worm” when she noticed the wedding cake, but on its upper tier was a mini Travis!
Taylor’s cake topper had already been taken, and without any phones or cameras around to capture the moment, Nikki decided the little Travis was going home with her!
“So I reached for it from the table. I was going to put it in my pocket,” she said, remembering. Then came the punchline. “I hear Tom Cruise be like, ‘Put me down!'”
Of course, the comedian was making a joke of Tom’s height rather than admitting that she’d tried to stuff the Mission: Impossible star into her handbag. Her story about the cake-topper has since been corroborated in the accounts of the Las Vegas set.

Nikki isn’t the only one offering tantalising glimpses behind the doors of the wedding. Travis has now shared his thoughts about the July celebration on his New Heights podcast.
Giving insight into why they chose such a surprising venue, the football star spoke about just how “so magical” it was for them to marry Taylor, plus how this allowed them to plan a massive celebration for roughly 1,000 guests while keeping it highly private.
“The private setting, along with the arena’s windowless interior and tight security, helped the couple keep the celebration away from photographers and the public.”
Although it’s been described as vast by so many, guests have said that it was still very intimate. George Stephanopoulos said it “became a garden inside the Garden”, and Travis later described the joy of seeing how their worlds collided into one memorable night.
