Perrie Edwards Begins New Chapter After 15 Years With Sony
Perrie Edwards announced a behind-the-scenes change as she sets out for the next phase of her solo career. Little Mix singer, aged 33, has decided not to renew her contracts with Sony and her longtime management agency, Modest Management, after a period of 15 years.
Perrie has now started off her new era while the album work progresses. The twice-mother who has signed an exclusive record label deal has now also joined hands with various artists’ management to be represented by the same office as The Libertines, La Roux and ex-Spice Girl Melanie C.
Sharing on various artists’ management’s confirmation of Perrie’s signing to Instagram: “We’re so happy welcoming @perrieedwards to VAM.”
Perrie Edwards Overhauls Career Ahead of Second Album
The debut album that bears her name has already reached number 3 on the UK charts, and she tops the charts. This marked her first solo single that went to the top 10 in the UK charts, without Little Mix.
According to The Sun, Perrie was offered a contract to make her second album by the label Columbia but decided against the partnership because she is preparing to make a complete change of both her music and her image.
Her debut album was a successful campaign, according to sources, leaving her with a better understanding of the next musical path she would follow. It is said that Perrie decided it was time to break with Sony and Modest Management after more than 10 years of working with them.

Just married to her fiancé, footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, in June, Perrie Edwards is said to have been working on her new album and trying to have her team and creative direction more under her control recently.
Even after leaving Sony and Modest Management, Perrie is said not to be angry with their former partner and still has a good relationship with them. Perrie is said to still be very much in their debt for the support they gave her throughout Little Mix’s great success and the introduction of her solo career.
The artist has already hinted at what might come next, recently referring to her single Passenger Princess as the last part of the first album campaign.
Perrie Gives an Ominous Hint Towards a New Music Era
Perrie calls Passenger Princess the last chapter of her solo debut album campaign and the opening line to a whole new chapter.
Perrie loves the lyrics, and she finds the track relatable and, overall, a fun song. “It’s just the closing of my solo debut album with one song, which marked the ending,” she admitted. The artist also confessed that she is clear on the type of new music she wants to make. “I have a clear idea of the new music, of what I want; I know the direction; I just need to arrange everything,” she stated.
Perrie always worked with Modest Management. They are also the same management that started Little Mix. The band Perrie and her groupies were featured on The X Factor and began their musical journey together with Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson. Little Mix was the first group to win The X Factor on ITV, and the band managed a successful music career, which ran across a period of over ten years. After that, Perrie, Jade, and Leigh-Anne announced their break in 2022. Columbia Records was where Perrie ended up, and from 2024, she started as a single artist, with her self-titled new album coming out in the following year.
