Dolly Parton Honored by Country Stars in Touching Grand Ole Opry Memorial

Dolly Parton Niece and Country Stars Pay Tribute at Opry Concert

Dolly Parton passed away on Tuesday as a result of her brave but brief fight with cancer. Shortly after her demise, a memorial concert took place in her honor at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville a few days later. Several other singers were up on the platform, such as Dolly’s niece Jada Star, who performed The Orchard, a track that they also worked on together for her aunt’s 2024 album, Smoky Mountain DNA: Family, Faith, and Fables.

“Many thanks; I’m really blessed. I love our cousins. We will all be fine; I promise,” Jada said following her performances. The remaining participants in the Saturday tribute concert were Carly Pearce, Kathy Mattea, Ketch Secor, Molly Tuttle, and Channing Wilson. Country musician Jelly Roll was a surprise guest on the song at the end that featured the performers joining hands on stage to sing Dolly’s famous song, 9 to 5.

Dolly Parton’s Special Bond With Grand Ole Opry

The program concluded with a screening of Dolly’s heartfelt rendition of the song I Will Always Love You. Whitney Houston eventually chose it for a bodyguard song, and it became globally popular. The Grand Ole Opry is a major live venue for country music and is situated on its holy ground, Nashville, Tennessee, in the Ryman Auditorium.

‍‌‍‍‌Dolly Parton was a very gifted girl. At just the age of thirteen, Dolly gave a performance in front of a large audience at the Opry. Dolly‍‌‍‍‌ even gave three encore performances since the fans were very happy with the young singer’s show. The Grand Ole Opry was also one of the few places he really loved.
Actually, Dolly likened the Grand Ole Opry not to a place, but to a very popular song—”New York, New ‍‌‍‍‌York.” He explained on the Opry website: “If you can get a hit there, then pretty much anywhere is possible for ‍‌‍‍‌you.”

Dolly to Be Buried Beside Husband Carl Dean

On Thursday, the singer’s close relatives were spotted outside Woodlawn Memorial Park and Museum in Nashville, where the country music legend’s grave had been dug.
This place has also been reserved for the famous star’s husband, Carl Dean. Paparazzi captured the couple’s tomb, showing that their bronze plaque features a peaceful mountain scene that likely represents their home state of Tennessee.

Dolly Parton will share her resting place with Carl after his passing last March at the age of 82, following their 58-year-long happy marriage. Previously, it was revealed that the singer didn’t want any public farewell, and her closest ones will be the only ones at the star’s funeral.

Dolly Parton Honored Across the US and UK After Her Death

US President Donald Trump ordered American flags to be flown at half-staff upon hearing the news of her death in order to pay tribute to “one of the greatest country singers,” the statement said.
Dolly’s fans also came to her Hollywood Walk of Fame star to pay tribute with belongings like flowers, a pink ribbon, red lipstick, and a box of her sugar cookie mix with Duncan Hines.

Absolutely, she was also honored on the UK front by the King’s Guard playing a 9-to-5 outside of Buckingham Palace.
