Dolly Parton has canceled her Las Vegas show, originally rescheduled for September, saying she’s still recovering from previously disclosed health issues.
The singer informed that she is reacting well to the medication and treatment, is “getting better every day, ” but at the same time the treatments have made her feel “a bit swimmy headed.”
True to form, Parton made a joke that she really couldn’t risk getting dizzy while carrying banjos and guitars in five-inch heels. She pointed out that nobody can keep steady when wearing rhinestone outfits, having big hair, and a larger-than-life personality.

Dolly Parton was initially planned to perform six shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in December, but first, the dates were postponed to September 2026 due to her health issues that are still ongoing. Now she has stated that the residency will not be going on at all, she wrote that it would require even more time before she would be “stage-performance ready.”
The country music legend apologized to fans who’d already bought tickets, saying she was “very sorry” to miss them in Las Vegas. In her letter, she encouraged fans to keep enjoying the city and promised, “I’ll see you somewhere down the line.”

Dolly Parton thanked fans for the support as she is still recovering and wrote that although she has “some healing still to do, ” she is getting better. She continued to calm her backers that she is really getting better and looking forward to seeing them again very soon.
The Tennessee star had initially announced the six-show Caesars Palace residency, Dolly: Live in Las Vegas back in June. The engagement, which was set for Dec. 4 to 13, was a concert event featuring a line-up of hits and was the first set of performances for Parton since the 2016 Pure & Simple tour.
