Jason Bard Yarmosky: What To Know About Katie Holmes’ Rumored Boyfriend

Katie Holmes Sparks Romance Rumors With Jason Bard Yarmosky

Katie Holmes is a big fan of the local New York art scene, and she met Jason Bard Yarmosky, the East Hampton artist, with whom she was reportedly spotted holding hands at the premiere of The Invite last July 10 and again in New York City.
Since her divorce from the megastar Tom Cruise in 2012, the actress has kept her dating life mostly to herself, revealing relationships to the public only in 2017 when she married Dustin Long, a third businessman, and the marriage ended in divorce very ‍‌‍‍‌quickly.

She dated a number of people in relative obscurity after her split from Cruise, including composer Bobby Wooten III, who accompanied her on a few red carpets in 2022, but the two apparently went their separate ways by the end of the year.
So Holmes’s decision to be seen out walking her latest boyfriend, Jason Bard Yarmosky, in New York City—after appearing at the East Hampton premiere of his girlfriend Olivia Wilde’s latest relationship comedy, The Invite, on July 10—no doubt signals that she is willing to be a little more out in the dating world these days.

Katie Holmes Finds Love Again With NYC Artist?

And presumably she was prepared to make a few headlines. Because, given the amount of excitement that preceded their getting back together—and the fact that she and Joshua Jackson appeared together in Happy Hours, her latest directorial venture, which had its premiere in June at the Tribeca Festival—it is clear that the 47-year-old star’s love life continues to be as hotly debated 23 years after Dawson’s Creek concluded.
But who is this guy who was seen out on a date with her in the Hamptons, instantly sparking fans’ speculation about his connection to Holmes? Let’s get to know Yarmosky.

Who Is Jason Bard Yarmosky?

Yarmosky is a painter and filmmaker whose artwork has been showcased in exhibitions globally. A New Yorker by birth, he was born in 1987 and studied at the School of Visual Arts, NYC, graduating with a BFA in 2010, as per his website bio. He is quoted as saying that “his art focuses on such matters of life as aging, time, and memory” and adds that he paints traditional styles blending with modern visuals through different-century techniques.

Earlier this year, Guild Hall, East Hampton, presented a Yarmosky exhibition titled “Time Has Many Faces”; they also showed a short film, Dream of the Soft Look, by Yarmosky.
In May 2025, “the city dwellers will be able to get their first glimpse of the Timeless Women in New York public installation,” which will consist of five 7-foot portraits of the inspiring women who affected the art and culture scene in New York, placed in the window displays of the department store on Fifth Avenue—Bergdorf Goodman.

Where does Jason Bard Yarmosky live and work?

The death of Yarmosky’s grandmother and muse, Elaine Bard, in 2018 was followed the next two years by the loss of his grandfather, Leonard Bard, in 2020. When his cousin offered him the use in October that same year of her 600 sq ft beach hut, “The Double Diamond,” a beach house at the seaside built in 1959 by designer Andrew Geller, which the family has owned ever since, Yarmosky made the move from his Brooklyn residence to it and has lived there since that time.

“It’s basically a diary for me,” says Yarmosky. Whether ideas or paintings, my notes go up the walls. I then get them down and up them again with others. It gives me space to express myself and live my thoughts, so to speak,” to a reporter from The New York Times’ T Magazine when asked about it in 2021.

Yarmosky’s pictures of Long Island scenes, which were painted as his emotional processing of death, became a new genre of work for him, incorporating both grief and the sea, using oil-and-wax painting techniques. “I’ve been dealing with grief in a setting that doesn’t force me into the role of the griever,” he explains, “and it has made me enjoy my art-making anew in a way. It has all added to my life, really.”

What does Jason Bard Yarmosky paint?

His bio shows that his adored grandparents were one of the themes he painted over a decade, “helping him go further in the understanding of the nuances of aging, such as vulnerability, care, wisdom, and humor.”

Pictures of this sweet little match, Eleanor in a bunny outfit and Leonard as Batman, have been at the heart of Yarmosky’s “Time Has Many Faces” show. In an April video for Numéro NY, he said it’s a collection of 10 or 12 years of his work that delved into various ways of “aging,” including “the changes in physical body and in the mind.”
“I think in general, the paintings are talking to us,” he stated. “I think it’s this really attractive characteristic of painting that a subject gets visually captured. It does not rely solely on the visual. The work of art also touches other senses. That’s why, to me, the work of art can talk to me like the music does.”

How did Katie Holmes and Jason Bard Yarmosky meet?

Both Holmes and Yarmosky have so far remained silent about the relationship, although, according to a source, they met at a Tribeca Festival dinner in June and have been seeing each other since.
Holmes’s movie Happy Hours had its world premiere at the festival on June 6, while on June 8, the actress attended the Chanel Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner, where she met Yarmosky.
The latter had been shortlisted by the fashion house along with nine other designers to create a work of art to present to one of the festival’s winners, having explored “ideas of character, costuming, and performance” for the project’s concept, according to curator Zoe Lukov.
In addition to the event on June 8, Yarmosky also attended the Bloomberg Reception on June 1 and the Awards Night at Spring Studios on June 11.
