Dolly Parton Calls Off Rescheduled Las Vegas Residency Due to Continuing Health Recovery
Dolly Parton has canceled her Las Vegas show that was rescheduled to September because she still is handling the health issues she had disclosed previously.
The singer informed that she is reacting well to the medication and treatment, is “getting better every day, ” but at the same time the treatments have made her feel “a bit swimmy headed.”
Demonstrating her trademark humor, Parton remarked that she couldn’t risk dizziness when she was carrying the banjos and guitars while wearing five-inch heels. She also jokingly said that no one could feel stable with the added weight of rhinestone outfits, big hair and larger-than-life personality.

Dolly Parton was initially planned to perform six shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in December, but first, the dates were postponed to September 2026 due to her health issues that are still ongoing. Now she has stated that the residency will not be going on at all, she wrote that it would require even more time before she would be “stage-performance ready.”
The legend of country music expresses her regrets to the fans who had already bought tickets, saying that she was “very sorry” to miss them in Las Vegas. In her letter, she reminds the fans to continue enjoying the city and she promises, “I’ll see you somewhere down the line.”

Dolly Parton thanked fans for the support as she is still recovering and wrote that although she has “some healing still to do, ” she is getting better. She continued to calm her backers that she is really getting better and looking forward to seeing them again very soon.
The Tennessee star had initially announced the six-show Caesars Palace residency, Dolly: Live in Las Vegas back in June. The engagement, which was set for Dec. 4 to 13, was a concert event featuring a line-up of hits and was the first set of performances for Parton since the 2016 Pure & Simple tour.
