Cruz Gets Choked Up While Singing Tribute Song to Brother Brooklyn
While on stage, Cruz Beckham seemed to be choked up when singing a song that was supposedly about his brother, Brooklyn.
Age 21, he was doing a show at the Courtyard Theatre in London, where his parents, David and Victoria, and brother Romeo were seated in the audience. At one point, he was so taken with the moment that he nearly broke down in tears when he sang “Loneliest Boy, ” a song with the lyrics: “Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much It’s breaking her heart.”
There was a moment when his band member gave him a hug and gently tousled his hair. Some fans believe that the song is a love letter to his away-from-home brother, Brooklyn, as the words seem to echo the family’s recent problems.

Cruz Beckham’s Emotional Tribute Song for Brother Brooklyn
The lyrics of Cruz Beckham’s song “Loneliest Boy” have led to the assumption that the song may be a tribute to his estranged brother, Brooklyn.
Among others, the lyrics say: “It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in the end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?” A third stanza reads: “Loneliest boy, place all your bets on him, To find something bad in somebody good, he always does, Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening, Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.”
The performance was the first of a series of three events at the same location, and all of them have been sold out. This week, Cruz talked to Rolling Stone about his parents: “They’ve been very supportive. Very honest too, but I really listen and trust their feedback on everything, but in the end, they support me unconditionally, and I want to work hard to make them proud.”
Cruz Beckham’s Musical Influences and Family Estrangement
Cruz Beckham has recently disclosed the musical influences that have shaped him over the years. Even the parents of Cruz have quite different preferences as regards music: their mix of music can be described as comprising elements of rock, R&B, pop.
“The guitar music was dominant in the lineup of The Stone Roses, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles cabinet, but there was also a lot of R&B and pop as well, ” he said. “For years I have been immersing myself in the study of the greats without any restriction to their genre. Truly great songs are great songs.”
The fact of Cruz’s throwback to Brooklyn in the form of a heartfelt song has emerged against the backdrop of the family dealing with their estrangement. He has been estranged from the family since he and his wife, Nicola Peltz, turned their backs on his father David’s 50th birthday party.
