Adele Shows England Support Ahead of World Cup Semifinal
Adele is proving to be quite the sports enthusiast of late, having been to Formula One and now showing her support for the England football team. The singer, 38, was spotted wearing a shirt bearing John Stones’ famous number five as she enjoyed a girls’ trip to Sardinia with her friend Tom.
During her vacation, Adele was spotted supporting the English team by wearing an England jersey when she was out doing things on a lovely Mediterranean island. This is a few days before the English team takes part in the big semifinal game against Argentina—past champions.
The match itself should be an extremely difficult one, both sides fighting for a coveted chance of being in the World Cup Final. When Adele landed on a lovely island, her photo taken showed designer bags, including an Hermès Birkin that Adele had been carrying.
Adele is set to make her acting debut in Tom’s upcoming film ‘Cry to Heaven,’ which is based on the 1982 Anne Rice novel of the same name.

Adele Backs England After Formula One Outings
She is going to appear in a film alongside such stars as Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany, and Adolescence’s Owen Cooper. The movie is based on an 18th-century historical novel about male opera singers who were castrated so that they could keep their voices. It tells the story of two castrati who became popular opera singers in Venice.
The star had an unusual weekend as she was invited to the British Grand Prix, where she met with the racing fans. It was reported that she had a ‘Formula One’ obsession with her son Angelo. She was seen wearing a trendy T-shirt in support of the 2025 World Champion Lando Norris and his team, McLaren. In addition, Adele wore a beautiful necklace that read ‘Mummy’ as a gift to her child.
Adele is a great fan of the racing sport. Last October, in Austin, Texas, at the US Grand Prix, she met with the drivers for the Mercedes brand, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.
Adele Reveals Formula One Bond With Son Angelo
On Friday, she gave a rare interview about her son Angelo, 13, as she revealed they have found common ground in their passion for Formula One. The Queen rock band’s Brian May, Damson Idris, Sam Claflin, Rebekah and Jamie Vardy, and Hannah Waddingham were among the stars also present at the big event. Happy pregnant Holly Ramsay was there displaying her pregnancy. With Susie Wolff, a former racing driver, Holly posed in a tight white skirt.
McLaren Race Track had Adele as an accidental guest, where she was introduced to the CEO, Zac Brown, and F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The lady was very happy when told that she had managed to find a deep connection with her 13-year-old son, who has been into karting lately, and, in turn, that would be a good route for the driver entering the F1 circuit. After separating from Simon Konecki, Adele still manages to spend time with her son and have a good relationship with the kid.

Adele Finds New Way to Connect With Teenage Son
She declared, “So my son is into karting and stuff. “I don’t know many teens who have a real interest, so I’m trying to encourage him.
Also, I believe you should be interested in it. I don’t think that I even expected to get close to my soon-to-be 14-year-old about something so much that we can argue about drivers, you know, but it’s quite good to have that interaction with a teenage boy in 2026 without really expecting it.”
The 16-time Grammy-winning lady singer then had a light-hearted interaction with 2025 F1 World Champion Lando, following Lando’s inquiry, “Are you still enjoying singing a song?”
Adele responded, “I actually do not do much singing on a regular basis,” before she put on the driving headset and hummed a few notes of Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time.
Adele Admits She Never Expected to Be a Singer
The Hello singer spoke out about the ‘ridiculous’ job that she has as she opened up about her ‘struggles with fame.’
“Oh, my god. I think it is ridiculous that my job is being a singer. No, I think it is never what I thought [it would be],’ she said. “I wanted to be an A&R. I never thought that I was the talent, you know?
“I knew that I had an affinity for music, so I thought that I would be really good at A&R because of that.
“It’s very rare that someone from Tottenham is going to come in, you know, have a career in England, never mind sort of universally and stuff like that. So it was never really an option. It’s very well-known that I struggle with the fame side of things. If I remind myself that it’s ridiculous that my job is being a singer, I just kind of play it off,” she explained.
