Artist Peter Majarich Created a Movie Poster a Day for One Year

Artist and graphic designer Peter Majarich challenged himself to create a movie poster a day for a whole year. Here are the results.

Back in 2016, artist and graphic designer Peter Majarich made a challenge for himself: for the entirety of that year, he was going to create a movie poster every single day. “This is a creative challenge. My aim is to attempt to design a movie poster each and every day of 2016. I’ll try to create something that’s an alternative take on the existing poster for each film,” Majarich wrote on his Tumblr.

Well, the collection of 365 movie posters on his social media would seem to suggest that he succeeded. While the designs are often minimalistic, some of them are incredibly stylish. Occasionally exploring a broad twist or iconic line from the movie, the simple designs pack an incredible punch that would make them right at home on any collector’s wall.

Other designs are clever puns or almost puzzle-like, forcing the viewer to think back on their times at the movies to get the reference that the poster is making. Either way, if you’re a cinephile or just a fan of the movies in general, check out Peter Majarich’s cool movie poster designs. We’ve included a few of our favorites below to get the ball rolling.
