Barry Keoghan Reveals £4,500 Skin-Tightening Treatment
Barry Keoghan has confided that he has had the same type of cosmetic Treatment that Kim Kardashian and Naomi Watts are fond of, which can cost as much as £4,500 after a lot of speculation about his altered look.
The 34-year-old actor – who is about to shoot the four-part Beatles biopic, where he is Ringo Starr – has opted for a cutting-edge skin-tightening procedure called XERF, which is intended to ‘lift and firm the face’ without surgery or injections. On a video uploaded by celebrity skin expert Nilam Holmes on Instagram, Keoghan can be spotted lying on a clinic treatment bed with a white headband on as the practitioner moves a handheld device across his cheeks, around his nose and along his jawline.
Speaking in the video, the Irish actor said, ‘I have been hearing a lot about it, and Nilam is very jazzed about it. Besides, she is superb at what she does. I really mean it.’
He continued, ‘Every time I come here, it’s like a little holiday for me and very therapeutic also. Nilam takes care of my skin. I feel good about myself. Also, I look better. I reckon you should take good care of yourself both inside and outside.’
The procedure, which was created in South Korea and has lately become a favourite among film stars in Hollywood, emits controlled radiofrequency energy bursts to warm up the deeper layers of the face.

This sets off the body’s synthesis of collagen, which is the skin protein that maintains skin firmness naturally. Ideally, you want to shrink sagging skin, sculpt the jawline and make the face appear younger.
The treatment differs from a facelift in that it is non-invasive since no incisions, needles or anaesthetic are involved and most patients can go back to their usual activities straight away. The effects build up slowly over months as new collagen forms deep in the skin.
The price for one full-face treatment with Ms Holmes is £2,500, or a package of two sessions, separated by four to eight weeks, is £4,500. An appointment lasts about 90 minutes, and the clinic states that the results may remain from 12 up to 18 months. Keoghan has undergone two treatments, but it is not known whether he paid for the treatments.
Kim Kardashian, 46, is a case in point. She shared a clip on social media of herself undergoing XERF, calling it her ‘new fave tightening laser’ and saying, ‘It doesn’t even hurt.’
Barry Keoghan’s Changing Appearance Sparks Fresh Cosmetic Treatment Buzz
Despite what she says, the XERF method operates with radiofrequency energy and not a laser. Naomi Watts, the 58-year-old movie star who had the procedure in May, shared her experience with the treatment, stating, “Feels so good! No pain. No downtime. Snatched.”
Keoghan’s disclosure of the secret behind his changing features comes after his appearance sparked rumours that he had rejuvenated his face with the help of a surgeon. When he walked the red carpet at the New York premiere of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man in March, fans noticed his cheeks and lips looking plumper.
Later, a cosmetic dermatologist told the Daily Mail that the enhancement he has on his face fills it out and gives changes “consistent with cheek filler.” “Larger volumes being delivered through the mid-face area can create a rounded or slightly “puffy” look,” says Dr. Nora Jaafar.
In January, he was flashing his lips in three-quarter view that looked larger and more flushed, and the photos were in front of Tower Bridge in London before Burberry’s quintessentially British presentation.
“Barry Keoghan’s changed appearance has certainly stirred up a little buzz about his lips looking fuller, and in terms of treatment, lighting or natural variation, which one is the reason is still a matter of speculation,” said Dr Barbara Kubicka, ClinicBe’s founder. However, “What is crucial here is that it resonates with the fact people are now very conscious and discuss changes in male faces, and this moment acts as a reflection of what we see in the clinic, i.e. men are becoming more positive towards subtle lip enhancements that emphasize balance rather than obvious volume.”

Barry Opens Up About Cruel Comments on His Appearance
The thing is, the evaluation was done solely based on the photos of Keoghan and not on the confirmation of any treatment; moreover, Keoghan has never admitted publicly to having fillers.
His newly disclosed XERF treatment is not the type of beauty procedure which requires taking the face to a point. Nowadays, the number of male celebrities who accept cosmetic procedures is increasing, and, in fact, Keoghan has even disclosed some of the most intimate details of how the brutal comments about his appearance affected him terribly.
Back in March, he confessed that the malicious comments on the internet had a very strong impact on him, making him, in a way, afraid to go out and, at the worst moment, even making him question himself if he still wanted to be seen on the screen.
“There is a lot of criticism directed at my appearance,” Keoghan stated in an interview with The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM. “It has made me deeply reflective; I haven’t wanted to go to places or even come out.”
He went on to say, “When it starts influencing your work, then you have a problem because you don’t even want to be on screen anymore.” The star, who with his ex-partner Alyson Kierans is the father of a son named Brando, had thoughts about his little dude one day coming across those extremely mean remarks.
Keoghan has shared that he was in a dilemma about being the odd one out when everyone else was recognised as a leading man until his image was changed by the role he played in Saltburn.
“It’s nice not being looked at as the weird-looking guy,” he told GQ in 2024. “My prettiness didn’t get me this far,” he said, responding to the fact that his heart-throb image has led to opportunities that were not available while he was considered the unconventional leading man.
