James Acaster Suffers Anxiety On Set
James Acaster being “very anxious” was apparently the cause for a major pause in filming Celebrity Traitors. It’s reported that the 41-year-old stand-up comedian was really stressed out when he went to film at Ardross Castle together with other contestants in the show. His fellow stars raised the alarm with the production crew. They stopped filming to allow the cast and crew to check on him.
The current Celebrity Traitors series, which will feature Maya Jama, James Blunt, and Miranda Hart, among others, started on Wednesday night.
A spokesperson stated, “The production team has been really aware of the mental health factor of the celebrities in the show, as the challenges are extremely tough.” The fact is that when it came to the final challenge at the castle, James was really overwhelmed and could barely breathe. Some of the other characters on the show suggested stopping the recording of the filming so that he would be able to regain his calmness. It was indeed the production team’s consent.

James Says Wife Signed Him Up For Celebrity Traitors
Looking back on the previous series of Celebrity Traitors that he hadn’t watched, James said, “I really haven’t been watching much television for quite some time, and I learned from my wife that I was a celebrity traitor. She got me into the show. Then, they gave me a fast-track overview of all the episodes.”
When posed the question of which contestant he would want to be, James replied, “I guess if I cannot be Alan Carr, then if I would like to be anyone else, I think it would be Joe Marler.”
James, together with host Claudia Winkleman, will be joined by several others in the Scottish Highlands for the second series, such as Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Michael Sheen, Myha’la, Professor Hannah Fry, Richard E. Grant, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft, and Sharon Rooney also make part of the contestant list.
