Emily Atack Ties The Knot Again in Lavish Spanish Wedding
Emily Atack will get married again to Dr. Alistair Garner at a fabulous second Spanish wedding in which their rivals’ co-stars, Alex Hassel and Victoria Smurfit, will be among the guests. And it will take place in the pretty, very well-known town of Mojacar, where the walls are white, and the town is on a hilltop and all that!
Just a few weeks ago, Emily Atack walked down the aisle for the first time at her local church in Bedfordshire. Hiding her dislike for doing only ‘half a thing,’ the actress decided to do a ‘full’ version of this as well.
The morning of the wedding, they saw her there for the first time as she was looking at the setup and showing her family and close friends what the venue looked like. She had hired the courtyards of two neighboring restaurants for the event, where the celebrations would be.
She wore a very loose flower print dress with vintage Diane von Furstenberg and Prada sunglasses; the dress was from the vintage Diane von Furstenberg archive collection.
200 people are going to attend the celebration.
Emily Rehearses Wedding As Cava Arrives For After-Party
After getting the layout and timing down from the planner and chatting to others about what the church would look like after the wedding and where everything was going to be, the group then went inside the church for the full run-through of the wedding ceremony that they were going to get married to. Naturally, as an extremely close-knit family, Ms Atack’s wedding party also featured her father, Keith Atack. A well-known name in the music industry, Keith used to own a cottage in this wonderful resort town till 2018. Also in the wedding party was the actress-comedian wife of Mr. Keith Atack, Kate Robbins.
Ms. Attack was delighted to see her friends and new husband at the place she had mentioned during the rehearsal that night as the only spot she would happily allow him to be while she was being photographed there. They came together after the ceremony and decided to go there.
After which, they hailed a taxi together, and the rest of the day was theirs as they spent the whole time in each other’s company.
At the same time, the church was being prepped for an awesome after-party with Cava for the champagne connoisseurs of €18 each per bottle. The staff was loading up boxes of beer, wine, and spirits that would be served for the guests at the party after the wedding, where Ms. Atack’s fellow castmates from “Rivals” were going to be present.
Last night, Mr. Hassell, who famously took the role of a barefoot tennis player named Rupert Campbell-Black opposite Ms. Atack in the movie, flew in to the southernmost region of the European country of Spain accompanied by his wife, Emma King.
Alex Hassell and Victoria Smurfit Land For Emily Atack’s Spanish Nuptials
Alex Hassell was seen in a brown T-shirt jogging at Almería Airport minutes before getting into a chauffeur-driven car for the approximately one-hour drive to Mojacar. In a joint outing with her husband, Steve Jacobs, the actress Ms. Smurfit has been filmed renting a car at the Spanish airport. Ms. Smurfit, as the wife of Aidan Turner, plays Maud O’Hara in the series.
Rufus Jones, who portrays Paul Stratton, a character whose wife is Emily (a woman from Rivals), was noticed by cameras during the sightseeing tour along with his wife Philippa Allam before the ceremony.
To have the wedding at the seaside getaway that is popular among British holidaymakers, Emily, after childhood summers at her father’s property, dreamed of this all along. In the last year, she was on a flight to Mojacar with her (now) ex-fiancé of around 40 and their little son, Barrie, for their family holiday to be together.

In a 2020 article by The Telegraph, Emily stated she was really into the family trips for her holidays at Mojacar, a spot on the coast of Spain, in the region called Andalusia. She revealed there was a house that the family used, and the last time, her father sold the property a couple of years back, but she and her family still consider the place their favorite spot. Though they don’t have ownership, they still go there every year and stay in a hotel. “Last year, it was also revealed that they, Emily and Alistair, who have a son, Barney, born in June 2023, and whose engagement was in July 2024, were contemplating a marriage ceremony on the land of the Spaniards.
A source of information told the Sun, ‘From the very start, Emily has enjoyed taking to Spain for vacation with her family, and at present, she is still planning on going there when she marries. There is such lovely nature that the couple love, of course, together, and the certainty of sunshine is an additional advantage for them. Friends and family coming along to a Spanish wedding is their dream come true.
On the other hand, last year Emily gave a detailed account of her second wedding when she shared publicly that her special day abroad would be a ‘fat, f***-off party.’
‘I think I finally got the point,’ she said. “We are going to get married in September, and I think I’ve thoroughly enjoyed doing the organization of the events.”
Emily then said to her Luxury London Magazine interviewer, ‘Choosing napkins and things that go along with them. I’m telling you: My God, that’s where my life is!’ Emily spoke about her happiness at marrying Alistair in the publication: ‘I’m very satisfied and happy to have everything as a perfect fit with the person of my choice. I’m really happy that life is going so great. You don’t get a lot of chances, but I’m very, very lucky.’
Emily Atack Goes Child-Free For Lavish Spanish Wedding To Alistair
It happened right after, when, in a surprising move, Emily Atack let slip that children had also not been allowed to join the Spanish wedding of hers and Alistair, even though she is a mother of one. She even said outright that she had made the announcement to the guests as a matter of fact that children would not be allowed and that, in all honesty, she is quite shocked at how well the guests have responded to this decision.
Emily stated, “We are giving the best of ourselves to the friends by making it so that they don’t have to think too much about the expenses, but we said that there will be no children at the wedding, no small children.’
During an episode of The Romesh Ranganathan Show podcast, Emily made her comments more colorful, saying, ‘What really astonished me is that quite a few people agree with the move. At first I thought that I would hear so many people being angry about this, but instead they said things like, ‘ f*** those kids.’
