Sabrina Carpenter just did a good makeup. The “Please Please Please” singer, 25, showed her absolute best at Variety’s 2024 Power of Young Hollywood party in Santa Monica, California on Thursday, August 8. She stepped out with her signature beauty look and an equally glamorous sparkling gold dress. One of the evening’s honorees, along with Marcello Hernández and Sadie Sink, Carpenter hit the red carpet in a dazzling gown that featured a tight corset-esque top and a full skirt, adorned with silver detail.
She let her dress do all the talking and kept accessories minimal with a couple of rings. The blonde hair was wand-curled into a loose updo with curtain bangs framing her face.
Of course, no Sabrina Carpenter look is complete without her go-to makeup, and this evening was no different. The former Disney Channel star shone with a neutral eye and deep-red lip, complemented by her blushy cheeks.
Yellow seems to be the color of the season. Carpenter ushered in her 25th birthday in May by sporting a bright yellow mini-dress. The low-cut neckline, open back — the whole shebang — was a throwback to the gown Kate Hudson wore in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Other than this daringly shorter length, though, the only other difference was that the singer included sequin straps and panels, which her stylist, Jared Ellner, sourced from Depop, an online shopping platform for vintage and second-hand clothing.
Ellner shared photographs of Carpenter lounging in the dress alongside Hudson’s Andie rocking it like it was nothing, and captioned it, “Sabrina’s 25th ???????? inspired by the one and only Andie Anderson.”
The songstress brought her girlish and sweet sense of fashion to the steps of the Met Gala in May, where she even captured the magic of Cinderella in a black strapless Oscar de la Renta gown complete with a mermaid bodice featuring a sweetheart neckline, and a very full light blue satin skirt.
Carpenter and Keoghan, 31, did their first red carpet at the event together. The Saltburn star wore an olive velvet Burberry velvet jacket, waistcoat and trousers, and a ruffled silk poplin shirt. He added a black wool top hat and leather Oxford boots.
