Pink Discloses That She Was Hospitalized on New Year’s Eve for Neck Surgery
Pink welcomed New Year 2024 from a hospital bed — however, she did not lose her great sense of humor.
On Dec. 31, the “Raise Your Glass” artist uploaded to her social media a selfie with a smile on her face and wearing a hospital gown with a huge bandage on her neck. In the caption, she looked back on her 2025 and shared the reason for her hospital stay.
Ironically, she said she was not getting a facelift, but rather was “getting two new shiny discs in my neck,” and added, “Rock ’n’ roll is a contact sport.”
While her family was out snowboarding, she pointed out, she was “all alone” in a hospital room.
Pink Reflects on a “Doosy” Year from Her Hospital Bed
Pink took advantage of her New Year’s post from the hospital room to reflect on what she termed as a roller coaster year.
“This year was a real doozy for all of us and that’s the whole spectrum from utterly heartbreaking to just a bit annoying,” the “So What” singer explained. “In the middle of all that, there was so much good. And I was fortunate to be able to get up every day and get out of bed and just go on with my life. The life of loving my kids and supporting them as they chase their dreams.”
Along with her children, the singer-mom mentioned that she had to bid farewell to “incredibly important people” and “realized dreams as well as nightmares” through her experiences this year.
In the context of the future, she made a promise to “devote this year to helping others keep the freedom to make their own choices for themselves and their families and this very quest for happiness” in 2026.
Friends of Pink Rally Around Her After She Shares Her Health Issues
Juliette Lewis and Kristin Chenoweth were just a few of the many celebrities who offered their support to Pink after the singer disclosed that she had to spend New Year’s Eve in the hospital for neck surgery. Lewis wrote in a comment, “Thank you for this. happy healing & happy new year,” while Chenoweth also chimed in, “Amen sister amen!”
Pink has been regularly updating her followers on her health situation in 2025. At the beginning of the summer, the “Just Give Me a Reason” singer revealed on Aug. 31, 2025, that she was still under the weather from a bacterial infection. The star shared a snap of herself lying on a couch with her legs up and holding a glass of wine, but also connected to an IV.
“On a holiday you have food and E.Coli decides to move into your gut, so you kill it with friends and daughters and red wine and a vitamin IV concoction,” she explained. “Here I am, doing all the right things and everything is fine.”
