Paul J. Kim Says God Is “Already Using” Micah “in Miraculous Ways”
Paul J. Kim recounted a very moving incident at the hospital when his son Micah was on his last breath. He remembered talking to a lady whose infant daughter of only two weeks was in intensive care.
“We were discussing whether or not the baby has been baptized and she answered no, so I suggested that she should baptize her, especially in this kind of situation,” he stated. “When they were moving Micah to the new bed after he died, the mom came up to me and said, ‘My husband and I, after talking, have decided that you should baptize our child.’”
Kim mentioned that after consulting his spiritual guide, he went ahead with the baptism of the child.
“How is it possible to have such a thing happening amongst all these sorrows?” he stated. “It is a strong possibility that Micah had already passed away before we found out. We were at a loss how to explain it; his body was in a coma but we’re sure his soul was with God. We were just witnessing a transition. But, he is God’s instrument already in an amazing, miraculous way.”

Looking back on the final days with his son Micah, Paul J. Kim explained that the family went to great lengths to save their 5-year-old son.
“For those two weeks we were fighting physically, we were seeking legal, medical, moral help from even outside the hospital,” said the sorrowful father, “to make sure we weren’t missing anything.” In fact, we were fighting for Micah in many ways to prolong his life, at least until he died. It is my responsibility as a father…even if, in God’s ultimate plan, it wasn’t meant for him to get better.”
