Martha Stewart denies plastic surgery rumors, says she is “never” had cosmetic work
Martha Stewart is disputing persistent rumors about what she does to keep her skin visibly young.
In an interview with People dated Jan. 23, the 84-year-old lifestyle mentor vehemently denied having had plastic surgery. “Everyone is so sure that I’ve had plastic surgery, and the truth is that I have never had plastic surgery,” she pointed out. ‘I am the most truthful person in the world—if they still won’t believe me, then I don’t know.'”
“How can they disregard what I say?” she further remarked. “It’s the truth!”
However, Stewart did acknowledge that a plastic surgeon once worked on her face; the reason, however, was not for facial cosmetic enhancement. She disclosed that the trouble started when she was at home during a blizzard morning, and she leaned to the floor in the dark kitchen to give her dogs a kiss before leaving. The sudden noise of a dog running upstairs frightened one of her French Bulldogs, which darted out in a panic.”

Martha Stewart was quick to correct the misunderstanding that she had undergone plastic surgery for cosmetic purposes. She revealed that the only time she needed a plastic surgeon was when she got a serious injury from her dog.
“Actually, my dog did not bite me,” Martha revealed. “What happened was that my dog banged my lip against my tooth and I got a split lip from my lip almost all the way to my nose. Blood kept flowing and falling all over the dog. This happened at 11 pm during a blizzard. I was so cold that is the only time I have skipped a show,”
Martha still had to go to a plastic surgeon to get the wound stitched; however, the artist stressed that such a procedure was to repair the damage rather than to beautify.
Martha Stewart Denies Facelift But Admits Botox, Fillers, and Laser Treatments
Contrary to popular belief, Martha Stewart revealed that the only plastic surgery on her face was a reconstructive surgery after a terrible accident—she did not have her appearance altered.
Following the accident, during which her lip was split open, she went to the hospital where the doctors stitched her up. “I get to the hospital and I think they did 16 stitches in my lip,” Stewart—a mother of daughter Alexis, 60, with ex-husband Andrew Stewart—recounted. “I can’t call that plastic surgery, that is a repair. It’s a terrible, terrible, terrible split lip… you cannot see. I healed so well. That is the extent of a plastic surgeon working on my face.”
Besides the injury and her face getting fixed by a plastic surgeon, Stewart insists that she has never had a facelift. In fact, she has on previous occasions talked about how non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, lasers, and other skin-tightening treatments have helped her.

Stewart additionally said that she has done a few different body treatments, especially on her chest and décolletage.
Still, she said her looking young is mainly due to the choices she made in her lifestyle more than the procedures. “I don’t really think much about age,” she told us, “but I just can’t stand looking old.”
Her biggest secrets, she said, are basically a nutritious diet and a habit of working out regularly.
