Kim​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Vo, the Celebrity Hairstylist Who Died at Age 55 from Colorectal Cancer


Kim Vo, the hairstylist of numerous celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Tori Spelling, has passed away after a long fight with colorectal cancer. He was 55 years old.
His spouse, Adeel Khan, announced the news on Instagram on Saturday. “I can’t believe I’m the one to tell you that my beloved husband, best friend, partner in life and business, Kim Vō, has taken his last breath,” Khan wrote.
Khan revealed that Vo had been diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2018 and “fought like a warrior,” he even went beyond what the doctors predicted while he was under the care of Dr. Lawrence Piro and his team at Angeles Clinic and ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌Cedars‑Sinai.

Adeel Khan reminisced about how his late husband had influenced the world, describing Kim Vo as “a person loved not only by his family and friends, but also by the international hair community and millions of viewers who got to know him through his art as well as his kindness.”
“Kim possessed an extraordinary talent of making everyone feel noticed, welcomed, and comfortable as if they were at home,” Khan said.
Instead of other tributes, Khan encouraged people to ” please consider contributing to the Kim Vō Foundation whose mission is to support hair, beauty, and fashion creatives who, like us, have been affected by cancer.” ​‍​

Speaking on the first steps, Adeel Khan informed that the Kim Vō Foundation will primarily focus on advocacy and offering the highest quality of care to others in their industry. “This is the legacy that Kim and I, together with your support, are committed to building,” he wrote. “We love you, we are here for you, and we will fight for you.”
In response to the news, several celebrities came forward sharing their condolences in the comments sections. Tori Spelling, 52, recalled Vo as ‘a wonderful person’ and said he ‘was full of such light and love.’
Besides that, Perez Hilton eulogized the stylist’s talent and artistry by saying, “The iconic Perez pink and all my wild colors – as well as my lush blondes – were all thanks to Kim. A master of his craft and art! Such a ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌loss!”

Vo, who went on to become one of the most sought-after hair experts, was the choice of many A-list celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, and Uma Thurman, among others.
Besides the salon, Vo was also well known for his various TV appearances. He was a judge on Bravo’s Shear Genius, was involved with the production of Extreme Makeover, and most recently was a main character on the Paramount+ series Blowing ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌LA.
