Kieran Culkin, Jazz Charton are expecting their third child after a moment at the 2025 Oscars
Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton Expecting Baby No. 3
Kieran Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton made a lovely announcement on Sunday at the New York opening night of Waiting for Godot — they are going to have a baby for the third time.
The Succession actor, 42, looked very tender and caring as he put his hand on his wife’s belly in the photo that was taken when they stood together for a shot. Culkin and Charton, who tied the knot in June 2013, have a little girl named Kinsey Sioux, who is 6 years old, and a boy named Wilder Wolfe, who is 4.

From the Oscar Promise to Parenthood
Kieran Culkin revealed back in March that his wife, Jazz Charton, had promised him more children if he won an Oscar — which he did for the first time. Only a few months later, the baby news comes in.
While picking up the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in A Real Pain, Culkin managed to share a personal (and funny) message with his wife. “I love you Jazz — I have to thank my wife, Jazz, for absolutely everything and giving me my favorite people in the world,” he said before adding, “Let’s get cracking on those kids, what do you say? I love you.”
Kieran Culkin’s Baby Banter Comes Full Circle
Kieran Culkin shared that his Oscars “third baby” request actually was a joke opposite a playmate made a year ago.
“I was at a similar event a year ago, on the same stage, and I very stupidly and publicly said I wanted a third kid from Jazz as she said she would give me the kid if I won,” he recalled his 2024 Emmy Awards speech. “In fact, she said so because she didn’t think that I was going to win the award.”
At first, Charton “really annoyed” with the joke, 37, but the couple later jokingly made light of it. “After the show, we are walking through the parking lot — she is holding the Emmy and we’re trying to find our car — and she goes, ‘Oh god I did say that! I guess I owe you a third kid!’ and I turned to her and I said, ‘Really, I want four.’”

A Promise Sealed on Stage
Culkin related that his wife had once enhanced the agreement even more. “She looked at me – and I swear to God it happened, just a little over a year ago – she said to me, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar.’”
While Jazz Charton was trying to suppress her laughter and was visibly embarrassed, Culkin was radiant. “I reached out my hand to her, she shook it and I have not brought it up once until just now. You remember that, honey? You do?”
He ended his speech with a combination of wit and charm: “Alright then I only have this to say to you: Jazz, the love of my life, you little faith, no pressure. I love you. I’m really sorry I did it again… and let’s get going with those kids. What do you say?”
From Emmy to Oscar — and More Kids
During the 2024 Emmy Awards Kieran Culkin made the first big family plea headlines after he took home the award for Best Actor in a Drama.
He thanked, “My lovely wife Jazz, thank you for being my life mate and for giving me two wonderful kids, Sioux and Wilder Wolfe. I love you both a lot and love you so much. And Jazz, I want more.”
Remembering their funny deal, he added, “You said – you said, ‘Maybe’ if I would win! I love you so much.”
He was joking at that time but that Emmy speech became the jokes hub — and his Oscar acceptance speech, promises, and more kids, months later.

A Quirky Meet-Cute
The romantic story of Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton epitomizes the one which was started in a New York bar in 2012. While giving an interview to The Hollywood Reporter in 2021, the actor remembered their weird but nice first encounter.
“I said, ‘I’m Kieran. You definitely seem to be from England. What is your name?’ She answered, ‘I’m Jazz.’ I said, ‘J-A-Z-Z, like the music?’ And she replied, ‘Yes.’ So I said, ‘Well, that’s f–king unusual.'”
Their cheeky banter was all they had for a short time – less than a year later they got married in June 2013.
