Colleen Hoover Chooses Health Over Everything, Will Not Be at Regretting You Premiere


Colleen Hoover communicated that she had to forego a handful of appearances, including a speaking engagement and the Regretting You premiere, due to a surgery. “I will not be the moderator of the signing for @lukasgage this month, nor will I be able to attend the premiere or any events for @regrettingyoumovie,” It Ends With Us author, 45, shared in a post on Oct. 17 with the pictures of Lukas Gage and his book I Wrote This For Attention. “I’m really sorry to be missing it, but I am having a surgery that cannot be avoided and I will not be able to travel for a while.”

While Colleen was recovering, she asked the fans to keep supporting Lukas Gage and the Regretting You team which includes Allison Williams, McKenna Grace, and Mason Thames. Along with the pictures of the movie, she wrote: ” Please don’t forget to tag me in all of your @regrettingyoumovie posts when it is releasing next week.I am just super-glad that I get to witness this through you guys since I won’t be able to take part in it. It is really too bad that I have to miss the release and the premiere of the movie, but I can’t help being thankful to all the actors and the team for making it happen.”

After Colleen Hoover announced that she was going to have surgery, her comments were quickly filled with support from people. Actor Lukas Gage commented, “Colleen Hoover, we’re all really loving you.” While author John Marrs wrote, “Surgery going well, I hope. I cannot wait to read the books by you and @fmcfaddenauthor. It is such a wonderful time for readers all around the globe! The movie that is slated for release on 24 Oct. is an adaptation of the 2019 novel Regretting You written by Colleen Hoover, the plot revolves around a mother and daughter who, following a heartbreaking event in the family, discover each other again.

‘I think Regretting You would make a fantastic film because I re-fell in love with the characters just by watching it,’ Colleen said in a BTS video shared on Instagram on Sept. 22. ‘As an author, it is really my thing that the actors really convince me that they can be the ones I have in mind for these roles.’
‘I was so enthralled with the way they made the transition from the characters in the book to the characters in the film and they became them,’ she also said. ‘I think readers will be extremely happy.’
