Who is Miranda Lambert? All About America’s Famous Country Singer, Songwriter

Miranda Lambert’s latest song video has her exacting some kind of retribution. The music video for the country superstar’s track “Wranglers,” which was published a month ago and depicts the narrative of a lady who “set it all on fire” after a painful breakup, was unveiled on Thursday, June 13, as part of the release of the single.

“And there’s one thing that she learned/Wranglers take forever to burn,” Lambert sings in the song, which incorporates heavy electric barbed wire guitar. “And there’s one thing that she came to realize.” In addition to being the first single from her next album, which was published on May 3, this tune is also the first new solo music she has released since the release of Palomino in 2022.

An actual “woman-to-woman” chat between Lambert and Mae about their time spent in unhealthy relationships with bad partners served as the inspiration for the song, which was written by Audra Mae, Evan McKeever, and Ryan Carpenter, as stated in a press release. Mae also contributes her vocals to the song.

During the video, Lambert observes a potted plant that has been shattered on the ground as she makes her way inside the home of her friend to console her after a difficult split with a man who is not terrific. While she and a few other women are trying to console her friend, who has informed her that she needs to deliver her now-ex’s belongings to him, Lambert comes up with an idea: “If he wants his s— back, we’re going to send him his s— back.”

The music video, which was filmed by Trey Fanjoy, who is a regular collaborator of Lambert, then depicts Lambert and her pals as they burn the ex’s belongings, particularly his Wrangler pants, with a can of kerosene. This gesture is reminiscent of the musician’s popular song “Kerosene,” which was released in 2005.

The statement was made by Lambert in a press release. “‘Wranglers’ is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back,” she stated. “I think we can all identify with the character in this video because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us.”

“This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels; I am so proud to sing this song,” she said in addition.

Miranda Lambert’s Early Life

Miranda Leigh Lambert was born in Longview, Texas, on November 10, 1983, to parents Rick and Bev (née Hughes) Lambert. She spent her childhood in Lindale, Texas. In honor of her great-grandmother, Lucy Miranda, she was given the name Miranda. Her only sibling is a younger brother.

Her parents first became acquainted with one another when Bev was participating in a camp at Southern Methodist University and Rick was working as an undercover narcotics detective on campus. They eventually fell in love and started a family together. During the 1970s, Rick was a member of the country-rock band Contraband. He was a former Dallas police officer who performed in the band. After that, Rick and Bev ventured into the world of private investigation and even participated in the high-profile case of the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton. The oil crisis caused the economy in Texas to become stagnant, and as a result, her family lost everything.

The situation improved after the downturn, and her parents started a faith-based ministry and provided their house as a sanctuary for people who had been victims of domestic abuse and their children. It has been said by Miranda that this event served as the inspiration for her music and that the song “Gunpowder & Lead” is a representation of it.

“The Texas Pride Band” was the group that Lambert joined to make her debut as a professional singer while she was still in high school. In addition, she was the frontwoman for the house band at the Reo Palm Isle in Longview, Texas. This venue has been there for a very long time and has hosted legendary performers like Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson. It was also the site where Brooks & Dunn began their career as the house band.
