Olivia Wilde Responds to Health Rumors
Don’t worry, darling, Olivia Wilde is doing just fine.
Out of nowhere, talk about her well-being started spreading when a picture from the festival in San Francisco made the rounds online. Back then, in April, people couldn’t stop sharing that red carpet moment. To Wilde, it felt wild; she said folks online were saying she resembled someone who had already passed away. That kind of comment? She called it completely unreal
Out of nowhere, there was the red carpet moment; next thing, spotting the photo, thinking, Well, sure, but chances are it fades fast. Nobody really notices these things, right? thought Wilde during the June 17 Call Her Daddy show. Then, without warning, it exploded across everything. She recalled just standing there, breath caught—oh my God.
At age 42, she started hearing comments like “she’s definitely sick” and “she’s dying.” Folks went further, throwing around a label, claiming it was Graves’ disease, an immune system issue tied to dropping pounds.

Olivia Wilde Laughs Off Viral Photo
At first, the “Don’t Worry Darling” star considered the whole misunderstanding “undeniably hilarious, ” but she was quick to point out the shot was just taken at an unflattering angle.
The first explanation was, “We’ve all got the experience of having a bad picture taken.” Then she continued, “Now, imagine if it was on the phones of, like, 100 million people, and you’re like, ‘That is not how I actually look.’ I laughed so much.” On the other hand, Wilde shared that she and her closest friends had a great time with the photo getting viral.
Olivia Reflects on Viral Backlash
“What I love most about really good friends is that they’re the ones who laugh the hardest, ” she stated. “I bet any joke that’s been made about me, my friends made it first and in a much funnier way.”
However, though Wilde described the situation as reinforcing her belief that misogyny is alive and “the internet doesn’t know how to talk about a woman,” she admitted there was a valid discussion about the viral image. “I have to say, that photo was so unbelievable; that one I give to them,” she said. “I would have been like, ‘Is she OK?'”
