Kellie Pickler to Appear on “American Idol” for the First Time in 3 Years Since Husband’s Death
Kellie Pickler is going to do a rare public appearance on American Idol to commemorate her coming three years since her husband’s death, Kyle Jacobs, day.
On the episode of Wednesday, April 29, the host of the show’s official companion podcast, Danielle Fishel, confessed that the country singer will feature on the next episode of the hit talent show.
Fishel said, “Next week, we will witness your top five performing. We’re totally going to have a blast like the good old days of 2006 when some of the super popular top 10 finalists from that epic season will join us to perform with this season’s top five, ” said the singer.
Fishel, 44, revealed that Pickler, 39, is among the 2006 finalists who will come together on the show reunion special airing Monday, May 4.

Kellie Pickler will be making a rare public “American Idol” appearance, as it will be her first return since her husband Kyle Jacobs’ death three years ago.
The country singer is going to be on the show in the new episode as American Idol revealed the news during its official companion podcast on the April 29 episode. On the show, Fishel, the host, remarked that it would be very different one since the top five contestants will be performing with the fan-favorite finalists who will be from the 2006 season of the show.
Pickler, who finished sixth to last among only five finalists in season five, is going to be singing with other American Idol alumni such as Taylor Hicks, Paris Bennett, Elliot Yamin, and Bucky Covington. Besides that, the audience will be taken back to the old days when two of the original judges, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, appeared on the show.
Pickler has put out four country music albums since her American Idol days. Since Jacobs died in February 2023, at the age of 49, she has not attended any events.

Kellie Pickler shared with her supporters that she felt lucky to have a few faithful fans standing by her side when she had her son, and it was harder still because she was also grieving the loss of her husband, Kyle Jacobs.
Being a mother has made assistant Kellie Pickler realize that she can consider herself very lucky to have a community of dedicated fans always looking forward to and backing her every step of the way.
The “Best Days of Your Life” star reflected on an important lesson that Jacobs showed her during their struggle time.
“One of the greatest lessons my husband has taught me was even in a time of crisis, if you really don’t know what to do, ‘do nothing, just be still, ‘” Pickler stated, mentioning that she has decided to follow his words.
Besides that, she expressed gratitude to her “family, friends, and supporters” for the innumerable letters, calls, and messages, saying that their kindness has grabbed her very much.
“It has really touched my soul and is a big part of how I am getting through the very difficult time in my life, ” Pickler revealed. “As many of you have told me, you are all in my prayers.”

Kellie Pickler’s return to performing was a moving one as she gave her first perfomance since her husband’s passing.
Kellie, who is the “Red High Heels” hitmaker was part of the brilliant Patsy Cline tribute at Ryman Auditorium and even shared with the audience that she was a little nervous.
“I’d be lying if I said I’m not incredibly nervous right now, ” Pickler said, it being a first time for her to get back on stage after such a long time.
At the tribute, she sang “The Woman I Am, ” which was a song she and Jacobs wrote together, and through that song expressed her emotions and love for him.
In fact, Pickler and Jacobs started dating in 2008, and through fresh news, it is confirmed that the couple held a secret wedding ceremony in January 2011. There have been no reports of the couple having children.
