Revealing Break-up Update
Last week, American rapper DDG took to Instagram to inform his followers that he has separated from Halle Bailey. The couple who had a son a year ago, Halo, split verbally but are on good terms. He made sure to convey to them that the separation, although painful, was a mutual decision and friendship is still alive even in this new phase of their relationship.
“Although we’ve decided to go our separate ways, our love for each other is still deep and real” DDG told his followers. He said, “We still are best friends, and love and care for one another. At this time, while we each pursue our individual paths and parenting responsibilities, we enjoy the relationship as well and the unforgettable times we spent together.”
It was known that DDG was the one to initiate the breakup, however, Halle Bailey has not addressed the issues. However, just a few hours ago, the Little Mermaid star took to Instagram and shared a few photos, her first activity after the breakup giving her fans a look at her life after the separation. The pictures show Halle training at the gym, working on music in the studio, and enjoying time with her child, Halo.
In one of the images that are more so tender than any other, it shows Halle and Halo enjoying the sun by the pool. The post and caption read: “Life is beautiful 🩷🥰. adding “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child as the soundtrack for the post. Fans flooded her comments section with messages of support, praising her for maintaining a positive attitude and for focusing on her son during this transitional time.
Fans Rally Around Halle
Bailey’s followers mention how much a lot of them admired how she’s handling the breakup and most of all, her decision to protect her son from the media and any attention. “The fact she covered Halo is soooo telling! Protect you and your baby’s peace, Halle!” one fan commented, referring to how Bailey carefully kept her child’s face hidden in the post Wanting to be close to a parent but attempting to avoid most of the face in the pic completely and wondering what to do with their child,’” they all commented as Bailey seemed to have mind against exposing her son in the post as much as possible. Another fan said, ‘Unbothered Mother,’ seemingly in praise of her calm. Just a few days after DDG updated his Instagram with a few pictures and videos of him indulging in the non-existent love life, a photo dump by Halle came in.
During the livestream, DDG made it clear that he is only interested in being Halle Bailey’s co – parent and nothing more as there is no need for another relationship at the moment. He explained to fans that they will make no more attempts to date anyone else as long as they are not a couple anymore, unless he and Bailey decide to, at some point, rekindle their romance which led them to separate in the first place.
This statement further emphasized that both of them along with Bailey are trying to deal with the situation and hence focusing on personal space, development and co parenting their son. While the separation might have come as a shock to the fans, the ex partners appear to be managing it well with respect and no drama putting their child’s needs first.
Moving Forward as Co-Parents
“I’m not dating anyone”, DDG said during the live stream, ‘I don’t have a potential girlfriend, and honestly, its not even something, I am considering at the moment.’
Although the romantic phase of this relationship has ended, both DDG and Halle Bailey made it clear that they will do everything in their power as parents to Halo. Taking care of each other’s feelings after the breakup is a powerful lesson that co parents should support each other with respect. After that, however, fans are still excited to find out where both stars are headed next—be it Bailey’s as-expected rise in acting and music or DDG achieving something great again in rap music industry. For the time being, it appears that both are concentrating on keeping things harmonious, being parents, and moving on with their lives post-break up.
