Charlie Edwards, a former boyfriend of Emily Atack, was found dead in a tattoo studio on March 24, according to the hearing. The actress’s ex-partner was caught in a store on Wilton Road, Humberston.
The Assistant Coroner for Greater Lincolnshire, Jane Eatock, at Grimsby Town Hall, announced the formal opening of the inquest and said the self-employed tattoo artist was found in the studio; however, the cause of death is yet to be determined.” The hearing was adjourned until September.

During a fond social media tribute shared in March, Emily Atack described Charlie Edwards as “funny, smart, talented and caring.” Along with a photo of the two of them, she referred to his death as a shock and mentioned that he was always her first to support her, even if he had to drop everything. Emily revealed they had long conversations about life and supported each other emotionally during tough times.

Besides, through her words, she shared the pain of his family she said he was physically a “beautiful boy” with a “beautiful soul” and mentally her heart goes out to them as she offers her condolences

And she wishes him to rest in peace.

According to the sources, Emily Atack and Charlie Edwards dated for about three months in 2021. The two were even seen kissing at that time. But their relationship reportedly fizzled out mainly due to Emily’s hectic schedule. A source revealed that a lot of chemistry was there between them, but the couple were “definitely over.”

Alistair Garner is the one Emily started dating after that. They are now proud parents to a son, Barney, who was born in 2024. The couple made their engagement public in 2025, and it is expected that they will get married in Spain this summer. Emily commemorated the engagement with a photo of her dashing ring followed by the caption, “It’s Friday, I’m in love, ” accompanied by diamond ring emojis.

Emily Atack will be starring in the second season of Disney TV’s Rivals as Sarah Stratton, a mistress-turned-newlywed who is also a host of a 1980s daytime TV show, this summer. Her breakout role was Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners in 2008.

Emily has since been a well-known face, particularly on British TV, one such example is her being a Celebrity Juice regular. Her other shows are Dancing on Ice 2010 and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2018.
