Spoiler Warning for WandaVision
I’m a little late to the party with this one as this video was posted back at the end of February but upon watching it, I just knew I had to write something about it. YouTuber Slayerfest98 has created a video to the Internet’s favourite song at the moment: “Agatha All Along” from WandaVision. The song- the main theme for villain Agatha Harkness which plays when she reveals her true identity to Wanda- has become an absolute smash hit and Slayerfest98’s video features the Marvel Cinematic Universe cast busting a move to the song.
What gets me about this video is just how perfectly the music syncs to the various cast members dance moves and how well chosen the snippets of footage are. With the amount of interviews, features and behind the scenes footage that the MCU cast must have out there, there’s probably a ton of material of them dancing here, there and everywhere. Slayerfest98 has picked the clips that sync up the best with the song and added them together in a perfectly precise montage.
I like to imagine that this is an alternate universe where in Agatha defeated Wanda and took her powers but this is all she wanted them for. She just wanted to make the Avengers dance to her will. In fairness, if I had the sort of power that the Scarlet Witch wields I would probably do the same. Some of my favourite moments from the video include the perfect sync up of Chris Evans’s take on Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” dance with the song, Wanda herself- Elizabeth Olsen- not being able to resist the catchy tune and of course, the inclusion of Tom Holland’s infamous dance to Rihanna’s “Umbrella”.
