Putman‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ family updates on recovery after deadly car crash

The Meet the Putmans family, three months after the tragic car accident which took the lives of Bill “Papa” Putman, Barb “Neenee” Putman, and Megan Putman in Michigan, shared an update on the survivors’ recovery.
On December 9 the family posted on Instagram that 11-year-old Gia Putman, daughter of Brandon and Kacie Putman, had gone through her 10th major surgery in 75 days. They recognized the difficult times the family has been going through and also mentioned that they haven’t been fully together since the accident which happened on September ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌26.

Putman‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ family finds their faith through Gia’s recovery

The whole family has been very supportive of 11-year-old Gia Putman after her first craniotomy on September 27.
The Putmans said, “We were at Gia’s side after the surgery which went well and talked about all the things God has taken her through.” The family met a different kind of care from staff during their stay in the ICU. Besides the doctors and nurses who came to see Gia, even the people doing the cleaning of the room were drawn to the family’s faith and the light they gave off—a “dose of joy that can only come from One ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌source.”

Putman‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ family relies on God during the difficult times of recovery and loss

The family, however, continues to be strong and courageous, getting their power from their trust in God, even after Blake Putman, the son, and the children Noah, 15, Lulu, 13, and Alena, 11, were also admitted to the hospital following the crash.
“People could be saying that our family is asking for a break now, that we’ve been through more than enough,” they communicated. “But even though we may be broken and hurting and tired in our bodies and may want that break, our hearts and souls are still calling God, ‘Send me, God! Take it and use it for ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌good!’”

Putman‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ family: faith and trust needed even in times of tragedy

Putman family members encouraged everyone to pray with them. They said, “It is very frightful to give up your safe place completely, but we pray that you would say the very same prayer. ‘God, use us! We trust You!’”
The deadly accident happened close to Detroit late at night on September 26. As per the Sheriff’s Office of Tuscola County, a heavily loaded semi-truck that did not stop at a stop sign went on to hit the family’s Jeep, and three people were instantly killed in the car ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌crash.”
