Ray J Says His Heart Is “Only Beating At 25 Percent” Following Near-Death Hospitalization
Ray J has revealed that he is seriously unwell after a recent hospital stay, saying his heart is only “beating at 25 percent.”
At the beginning of this month, 45-year-old musician William Ray Norwood Jr., known professionally as Ray J, was taken by ambulance to a Las Vegas hospital after he had a heart attack symptom along with an extremely serious case of pneumonia.
After spending the weekend at home, the singer of “Sexy Can I” shared with his followers, “My heart’s only beating 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right.”
He went on to say, “My health is not OK, so I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me through everything I’ve been in the hospital.” Ray J also signed off his post by thanking everyone, “I almost died!! It’s your prayers that kept me alive.”

Ray J Thanks Sister Brandy and Friends for Support During Health Crisis
Among the people Ray J thanked for supporting him during his hospital stay were his elder sister Brandy and Love Cabin colleague Shila Hasanoff.
Ray J expressed his appreciation to the two ladies, among other people, who supported him through this difficult time.
To reflect supports from his family and friends during his illness, Ray J has publicly thanked his older sister Brandy and Love Cabin colleague, Shila Hasanoff, besides others.
Ray J explained that Shila, who was with him at the hospital, must have been quite stressed seeing him suffer.
He declared, “I love you, Sheila.”
Ray J has had lung infection earlier. Back in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, he was treated for the lung infection then.
Ray J Talks About His Life-Threatening Health Scare and the Struggles That Continue
Ray J once revealed that he thought he was going to die when he had pneumonia. To TMZ he said that it really felt like he was going to die, that he was in a hospital closed to the COVID-19 patients though he himself was negative for the virus.
“At some point I just started praying and I realized God is good, so I just kept on praying,” he told the interviewer then.
The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star’s relapse coincides with his personal problems, including his divorce from the Princess Love, his on‑again, off‑again ex. The two former spouses, who tied knots in 2016, have daughter Melody, 7, and son Epik, 6, together, and they have been divorce three times, the last time being February 2024.
Ray J is the sibling of R&B artist Brandy and a cousin to Snoop Dogg, and he is also famous mainly for his past relationship with Kim Kardashian. They were together for around three years in the early 2000s, and a sex tape of them surfaced in 2007.
Cometh 2022, Ray J stirred matters up again from when he accused Kardashian and Kris Jenner, her mother, of orchestrating the tape’s leak. Next year Kardashian and Jenner sued Ray J for defamation after he said that racketeering charges “would be fitting” against the family in a documentary based on Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Ray J files countersuit against Kardashian and Jenner over sex tape story
Ray J has responded with a countersuit to Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, accusing them of “spending two decades selling the false story that the sex tape… was leaked against her will.”
He claimed that their lawsuit was “motivated by anger that I no longer want to play along with their tall tale,” and the statement was a direct result of that.
Ray J states in his court documents that he had an agreement with Kim and Kris in which they promised that the sex tape would not be used as a story for their show The Kardashians.
He says that the agreement was broken and that he deserves $1 million in compensation.
According to TMZ, Kardashian and Jenner’s attorney, Alex Spiro, said to the media: “After realizing that he is losing the case and losing himself, this incoherent rambling distraction is not scaring anyone.” “He is going to lose this frivolous case as well,” continued Spiro.
