The Perfect Couple actor was taken to the hospital on Nov. 16 following a visit to the doctor’s office after he had a very painful headache, as per the information given by TMZ. He was reportedly held for observation overnight and underwent a series of tests.
After the incident, his representative told E! News in a statement on Nov. 17, “Liev went to the hospital for testing as a precaution, and he has been cleared to return to work this afternoon.”
Though the Ray Donovan star has come through this recent intense headache without harm, he had previously shared his experience of a migraine during his Broadway run in Doubt: A Parable, which made him so disoriented that he could not recall the name of his co-star Amy Ryan—the lines—while he was onstage.

However, an MRI quickly changed the story—“Let me also say, quite a nice looking brain, the doctor said,” Liev quipped.
A neurologist came to the conclusion that he was suffering from transient global amnesia (TGA), which is a very rare situation that in which a sudden, brief loss of short-term memory can be the only symptom. Transient global amnesia can be very limited to a situation of very intensive physical exercise, extreme stress, headache, or even sudden immersion in very hot or cold water.

“I go to sleep, I wake up, I remember the whole play,” he told Seth Meyers. “I call the theater and I say, ‘I am coming up to do the matinee. I want to be sure that I can do the play.’ And I never had another problem with it.”
