At the beginning of the seventh season of The Kardashians (Hulu, Oct. 23), the mood was heavy with a farewell. Amid the sad vibes of saying goodbye to Kris Jenner’s Hidden Hills mansion, which is now on the market, Caitlyn Jenner came back to the family reunion. “I just couldn’t really come here with my whole family and say goodbye to this house and not invite the person who made all the memories with us for so many years,” Kris uttered through ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌tears.

The exes had a couple of years lives in the Hidden Hills home—called Eldorado Meadow—before their breakup in 2013, and they made a lot of KUWTK episodes there. After the end of KUWTK in 2021, Caitlyn didn’t come to the family’s fold on the screen until this season’s goodbye. What about the present relationship? “I don’t think my parents will ever be best friends again, that’s for sure,” Kylie Jenner, 28, confesses, “but I think this is just a great first ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌step.”

Caitlyn, (along with Kris) is the mother of Kendall, 29 and she together with her parents raised Kourtney, 46, Kim, 45, Khloé, 41, and Rob, 38. In the trailer for the new season of The Kardashians on Hulu, which was shown on Oct. 1, the Oct. 1 Hulu trailer for The Kardashians’ new season featured Caitlyn. “It seems to me that my mom has been struggling to invite my dad to some of our family gatherings,” said Kendall, “but my dad is the one who should be ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌there.”

Back in 2023, during an interview on ITV’s This Morning, Caitlyn revealed that she and Kris, her husband for almost 24 years, haven’t been in touch for quite some time. “Kris, I really don’t talk to her anymore,” she told. “If there are any communications, Sophia Hutchins, she is my manager, she runs the show. So, she talks to them.” (Sophia was killed in an ATV accident in Malibu this past July.)
Regarding her children, Caitlyn Jenner claimed that she “definitely” sees them, but that she is “a lot closer to the Jenner side… Brandon and Brody and my son Burt, my daughter Casey.” When talking about Kris, she said, “I do not really have any more contact with her. It is kind of sad… we have been through a lot, but there is just a ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌lot.”
