Amy Schumer, 44, took her Instagram account down to bare bones on Nov. 11, removing all of her old photos and uploading a new one that features her latest look—a Valentino Red Silk-Wool Heart Mini Dress with Chanel shoes.
“I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud?” she captioned. “I’m feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!”
On the same day, she posted to her Stories a screenshot of her very first Instagram post with the text, “My first ever insta post. I’m gonna erase them all cause why not?” indicating a new beginning on the platform.

Amy Schumer decided to do away with all the content on her Instagram after she openly shared her weight loss journey, including a post where she said, “I’m feeling strong and like myself,” on Oct. 30.
However, the comedian hasn’t hesitated to share her ordeals and disclosed that she had a “horrible experience” with the drug Ozempic for weight loss after she had liposuction in 2022.
“I have this gene, GDF15, that makes you very easily nauseated, and this is the reason why I was extremely sick during my pregnancy,” Schumer told the SiriusXM show of Howard Stern in January. “I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was like, I cannot get out of my bed. I was vomiting — and then you become very weak. But some people do it and they don’t have any problems. So, I bless them.”

In March 2025, Amy Schumer opened up about the fact that she is on a drug cocktail that has made her endometriosis and perimenopause symptoms bearable.
Following a very bad incident with Ozempic that happened two and a half years ago, she decided to try a different GLP-1 drug, Mounjaro. Schumer made a video for Instagram, in which she talked about her second Mounjaro injection, and her experience as ”awesome”.

She talked about the “shaming and criticism of our ever-changing bodies” that she has experienced and seen in an Instagram video. Schumer pointed out that she wished women to adore themselves and be unstoppable in the struggle for their health in a system which, most of the time, doesn’t trust them.
