Celebrity Amy Poehler Became Involved in an Altercation on a Plane After Someone Swore Near a Baby
Amy Poehler Recalls Going “Full Boston” on a Plane Passenger
Amy Poehler is generally a live-and-let-live type — apart from a one-flight incident that has become quite infamous.
The Parks and Recreation actress recently reminiscenced about a moment of high tension in the air with her former Saturday Night Live pal Ana Gasteyer and Ana’s small daughter Frances while Amy was shooting Mean Girls.
“It’s a long story, but basically this first class man – we were in first class as well – he was like, ‘Excuse me, you’re being too loud in first class,’” Amy recounted on the Dec. 23 episode of Good Hang with Ana. “And my Boston came out, let’s just say that.”
For Ana — who has Frances, now 23, and son Ulysses, 17, with husband Charlie McKittrick — that confrontation was a legendary one. “The guy got mad you were swearing in front of the baby,” she said, describing it as “the best thing” she had ever witnessed.

Amy Poehler is not the only one who has stirred things on the set
Amy Poehler is not the only one who has a wild work story. Mark Ruffalo had revealed only recently how he once had to step in and stop his Now You See Me co-star Woody Harrelson from getting into a physical fight during the filming of the 2013 thriller.
“It was the shooting of Now You See Me — the first one — in New Orleans, totally outside,” Mark recalled on Ted Danson’s Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast in October. “Trying to get stuff on a long lens, getting dragged into bars in the middle of a scene, like in the middle of Mardi Gras.”
Mark Ruffalo Prevented Woody Harrelson From Starting a Bar Fight
Mark Ruffalo recalled how in the middle of a “wild” night shoot for Now You See Me in New Orleans, a very tense moment that could have turned into a full-blown brawl almost happened.
A woman came up to Woody Harrelson and told him how much she admired him, and he gently put his hand on her arm, saying, “Oh, thank you. Thank you, darling.”
“And then this guy comes over and he pushing her out of the way, and then he shoves Woody,” Mark remembered. It was clear to him that a fight was going to start, because he knew that Woody’s “first response is not shove someone back, but immediately punch them in the face.”
Feeling that a “melee” was about to happen, Mark caught hold of Woody and pulled him out of the bar to stop the situation from escalating.
“I thought, ‘This could be fun,’ but it also simply could have gone so disastrously wrong,” he laughed.
