Tiffany Haddish Childhood Trauma: What Happened to Tiffany in Her Early Years?

Tiffany Haddish is thinking back to a terrifying period in her life. Throughout an exclusive sneak look from the episode of the SHE MD podcast that was released this week, the actress, comedian, and author of I Curse You with Joy said that she “never” anticipated she would become a renowned performer. This was mostly because she had experienced some terrible events throughout her youth.

“I didn’t even think I would make it to 21,” said Haddish, who is 44 years old. “I thought I would die before I was 21 because people were getting shot around me.” ” I had attended a great number of funerals. It seemed like so many of my friends were being murdered. The amount of destruction that was all around me was so overwhelming that I just… I didn’t believe I would make it,” she said.

However, as the actor from Haunted Mansion noted on the podcast, that feeling did not deter her from her goal to make a good change in the field that she had chosen to work in.

“Even as I got older and I felt like my world was being taken and pulled apart and ripped up and shredded and I was getting beat up physically, emotionally, mentally, all these things, I still was like, ‘I just want to bring joy,'” As Haddish put it.

“Everything I saw on Star Search, I tried to do,” she remembered doing when she was a youthful youngster. “I knew that I wanted to be on Star Search so much. I still remember having my tiny Mary Janes with the firm soles, which were my church shoes when I was the youngest. In the kitchen, I would be tap dancing. I would go there.

As an additional point of interest, Haddish said that she would even “invite the kids on the block in the neighborhood to come over” and see her perform. “I would make up these songs and sing and dance for them,” she said in response. “Who would have thought that I would one day become a performer? Indeed. Did I really think that it would be on such a gigantic scale? I do not.”
