Gabourey Sidibe and Brandon Frankel have been married since 2021, and in April of 2024, they became parents to twins. In April of 2024, the actress and her husband, Brandon Frankel, who had met on a dating service and subsequently were married in 2021, became parents to a pair of identical twins. “Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper, so we call him ‘Coop,’ and Maya was named shortly before our babymoon to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico,” Sidibe told Shutterstock in an interview.
At the beginning of the spring, the Precious actress and her husband, Brandon Frankel, became parents to a daughter and a son. The couple announced the news in a post on Instagram that included photographs of the four members of their family.
They said in the caption, “Our babies arrived in April and brought so much life and excitement into our existence,” referring to the arrival of their children. They have a wonderful relationship with each other and are forming a lovely siblinghood. They are adorable and hilarious, and they like snuggling with us. The last two months that we have spent with them have been absolute heaven. It has been a lot of fun getting to know their unique personalities and discovering the funny things that we can do to make them giggle. We feel an immense sense of gratitude and respect for being their parents.
For the issue of Brides’ Style that was published in May 2022, the Precious actress was featured on the cover, and she spoke about her “incredible partner.” I can’t see myself dating someone I genuinely love. To my surprise, that is entirely feasible! Sidibe expressed his happiness by saying, “I am really happy to have been wrong about where I saw my life going, partnership-wise.”
For more than a decade, Frankel has been employed in the entertainment sector, where he has held positions relevant to branding, marketing, and consulting.
