The marriage of Cooper and Goddard has lasted for close to half a century. Because Goddard had performed in a number of parts in Cooper’s stage show, the couple tied the knot in March of 1976, only a few years after they had accidentally met via their respective places of employment.

“It’s almost hard to do the show without her,” Cooper said in an interview with Billboard in 2019, which made the statement decades after the two began working together. “It’s almost like Burns and Allen; we’re backstage putting makeup on, talking, laughing.”

Calico Cooper, the couple’s oldest daughter, was born on May 19, 1981. She is a multitalented performer who sings, performs, and directs, following in the footsteps of her parents, who were also talented artists. As part of her father’s tour to celebrate the release of his 21st album, Brutal Planet, Calico even joined in on the choreography. She tied the knot with Jed Williams in the year 2015.

With the birth of Dashiell “Dash” Cooper on June 3, 1985, Alice and Goddard welcomed their second child into the world. Through his band, CO-OP, Dash is also a musician in his own right. They have three children along with their wife, Morgan Cooper.

Sonora, who was born in 1992, is the youngest child of the pair. Sonora has not been involved in the entertainment sector in any way, even though her siblings are involved in the arts. However, it is unclear what she does for a profession. She is married to Diego Diaz, and in the year 2020, Alice shared with Cleveland.com that her daughter Sonora is going to give birth in July at the earliest.

Who is Alice Cooper?

Alice Cooper is a sixty-year-old American rock singer and songwriter. She was born Vincent Damon Furnier on February 4, 1948, and her career has spanned the United States. Many music journalists and colleagues believe Cooper to be “The Godfather of Shock Rock” because of his raspy voice and stage performance that includes a variety of props and theatrical illusions. These include pyrotechnics, guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, snakes, baby dolls, and dueling swords. Cooper is also known for his stage presentation. To pioneer a macabre and theatrical kind of rock that is intended to startle listeners, he has taken inspiration from a variety of genres, including vaudeville, garage rock, and horror flicks.

In 1964, “Alice Cooper” was a band that had its beginnings in Phoenix, Arizona. Its origins may be traced back to a band known as the Earwigs, which included Furnier on lead vocals and harmonica, Glen Buxton on lead guitar, and Dennis Dunaway on bass guitar and backing vocals. The band’s name was “Alice Cooper.” The three musicians were joined by Michael Bruce, who played rhythm guitar, in 1966, and Neal Smith, who played drums, was added in 1967. “Alice Cooper” was the moniker that the five members of the band chose for their band, and Furnier ultimately used it as his stage name. They released their first studio album, titled Pretties for You, in 1969, and it was only moderately successful on the charts. Following their breakthrough with the song “I’m Eighteen” in 1970 and the release of their third studio album, Love It to Death, the band achieved its commercial zenith in 1973 with the release of their sixth studio album, appropriately titled Billion Dollar Babies. Immediately after the dissolution of the band, Furnier officially changed his name to Alice Cooper and launched his solo career in 1975 with the release of the concept album Welcome to My Nightmare for the first time. The number of recordings that Cooper has sold over his career is considerably over fifty million.

Alice Cooper’s Early Life

His father, Ether Moroni Furnier (1924–1987), and his mother, Ella Mae (née McCart; 1925–2022), welcomed their son, Vincent Damon Furnier, into the world on February 4, 1948, in the city of Detroit, Michigan. Vincent Collier Furnier, his uncle, and Damon Runyon, a writer of short stories, were both honored with the naming of this individual. His father was an evangelist in The religion of Jesus Christ, and his grandpa on his father’s side, Thurman Sylvester Furnier, was a leader in that religious organization and eventually served as president from 1963 to 1965.

In East Detroit, the Furnier family lived on Lincoln Avenue close to Kelly Road, only a few streets away from Eastland Mall during their time there. During his time at Kantner Elementary School, Cooper remembers seeing horror films at the Eastown Theatre, which would later become his place of performance. He also recalled going trick-or-treating in the neighborhood on Halloween, which he considered to be the “biggest night of the year.” He took Halloween “very seriously.” From the age of 11 to 12, Cooper was an active member of his church. After suffering from a number of ailments during his youth, he relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, with his family, and he decided to enroll at Cortez High School there. “A million record sellers” was the goal that he wrote about himself in his high school yearbook.

Alice Cooper’s Music Styles

Cooper has dabbled in a variety of musical genres, mostly hard rock, glam rock, heavy metal, and industrial rock, but also new wave (1980–1983), art rock on DaDa (1983), and industrial rock on Brutal Planet (2000) and Dragontown (2001). The musician who “first introduced horror imagery to rock’n’roll, and whose stagecraft and showmanship have permanently transformed the genre” is the one who has been credited with helping to define the sound and appearance of heavy metal. He has also been hailed as the originator of the genre. Offstage, he is as well-known for his humor, and The Rolling Stone Album Guide has referred to him as the most “beloved heavy metal entertainer” in the whole globe. Since 2004, Cooper has been a radio disc jockey (DJ) with his classic rock program Alice’s Attic. In addition to his work in the music industry, Cooper is also a film actor, a golfing star, and a restaurant.
