Actor Pierre Deny from the TV show “Emily in Paris” has passed away at the age of 69 after fighting a disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), family revealed.
“It is with great sorrow that we inform you of Pierre Deny’s demise,” the actor’s daughters wrote in a letter to the Daily Mail. They disclosed that he succumbed on Monday after a sudden and extremely severe case of ALS. Deny had become familiar to the television audience for his role in seasons three and four of Netflix’s popular series “Emily in Paris.”

The actor’s daughters released a statement to the Daily Mail confirming the end of his life on Monday due to a sudden and very serious manifestation of the disease.
In the Netflix series, Deny was one of the main characters, portraying Louis de Léon, the head of the exclusive fashion company JVMA in the third and fourth seasons. Less than a week after Lily Collins declared that filming for Emily in Paris season six, the final one, had started, Pierre Deny died.
“And guess what? We’re back for one last time,” Collins posted on Instagram. “@emilyinparis is going to Greece (and of course France) for one final, big adventure. The rest of the cast members, besides Collins, have not given the public their opinion about his death.
Pierre Deny Remembered by Co-Star after Death at 69
Death at 69 from ALS, long-time co-star Luce Mouchel made an emotional Instagram post and also paid tribute to him. Mouchel, reflecting on their years together, wrote in French about their “short decade of shared life that was not to end so quickly and so brutally.” ” I also think of your children and their extraordinary bravery,” she wrote. “Thinking of you, my last visit, your bright eyes, Dr. Dumaze. Rest in peace.”
Deny has also made a good career in television in France through playing roles in such series as Fabio Montale, Une femme d’honneur, and Cinq soeurs.

Besides that, Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane also publicly announced his ALS condition before he passed this year.
