Patricia Arquette claims that her late 50s life is the best yet. The 58-year-old Oscar winner and PEOPLE exclusive interviewee after the Planned Parenthood Spring Into Action Gala in New York City on April 15, shed light on it being one of the best years of her life.
“Oh dear, I’ve had tons of great adventures.”, Arquette admitted while adding that she has made a “great bond” with herself which she had never done before.
Reflecting on the past, the actress remarked that it was because she became a mother at 20 that she had mainly identified herself through others such as a daughter, mother, girlfriend, or wife. However, now she is primarily dealing with her own development, though she admitted that she still finds it difficult to stop and question herself, “What do I want to do?”

Patricia Arquette confesses she has just been in the most satisfactory phase of her life. The Oscar-winning actress, aged 58, revealed to PEOPLE that she is at the “happiest, most emotionally stress-free” stage of her life ever since she started to retrain her mind and give more attention to herself.
Arquette, who is a mother to son Enzo, 37, and daughter Harlow, 23, also in November 2025, said that now she has the freedom to live wherever she wants, spending her time as she wants and living the kind of life she truly desires as she has the two children grown up and the considerable responsibility of raising children is no longer part of her daily life.
The Severance actress stated that being a daughter, sister, friend, lover, partner, mother, and grandmother has been a marvelous life experience. She also said that reconnecting with yourself, focusing on your own passions, and expressing your full potential is a wonderful new way of living.
Patricia Shares Thoughts on “Second Spring” and Newfound Independence
Recently, Patricia Arquette has changed her perspective on life after a couple of decades of juggling work and kids. The actress and her former husband Thomas Jane were together for four years before their 2010 divorce; before that the star had been married to Nicolas Cage from 1995 until 2001. At age 58, the actress who has already experienced two marriages is telling that she is really in her element and uncovering happiness in being alone – a phenomenon which others call a “second spring.”
In a 2025 chat with PEOPLE, Arquette recalled that this present stage feels like a completely different viewpoint to her. “Suddenly, the entire world is different,” she commented, giving the example that she currently has the possibility of new experiences and the occasions for getting to know again those she loves the most.
While on the path of her very public marriages and motherhood, Arquette said she has discovered that she is doing great in her newly found freedom, relishing the fact that she can now live as she wants and strive for her own happiness alone.
