Nikki Glaser Admits She Regrets Sharing Leonardo DiCaprio Pasta Story
Nikki Glaser is reconsidering a viral confession after all. The comedian who was recently named TIME’s Most Influential People of 2026 admitted she regrets telling that Leonardo DiCaprio had sent her pasta after she made fun of his 1991 Teen Beat profile at the 2026 Golden Globes.
At E! News interview, she confessed that it was the huge attention to the story that made her feel uneasy. She even thought DiCaprio might believe that she was bragging by talking about the gesture.
Glaser explained that she only told the story in order to have something funny to tell on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 21.

Nikki Glaser is reconsidering having shared a confession that quickly became the talk of the town. The stand-up artist, who has just been named one of TIME’s Most Influential People of 2026, opened up about her regret of disclosing that Leonardo DiCaprio actually sent her pasta after she made a playful jest about his 1991 Teen Beat profile when he was nominated at the 2026 Golden Globes. On the sidelines of the TIME100 Gala, the 41-year-old revealed to E! News how the story received such enormous attention that it even made her fear DiCaprio might think she was “bragging” about it.
Comedian Glaser said that the confession was initially made just to get a laugh since she was in search of a humorous incident for her April 21 slot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On the show, Glaser had revealed to Fallon that her way of making up for a roast at an awards ceremony is to send the ‘victim’ flowers, in a really kind and thankful way. But, to the contrary, only DiCaprio was the star who reciprocated with a gift.
When she came out live at night, Glaser talked about how difficult it was for her to prepare jokes for the A-lister. She admitted that her main concern was to steer clear of the worn-out jokes about his youthful girlfriends. “I just don’t want to make the joke about how he has young girlfriends. It’s been done so many times, ” she told Fallon, then after a brief pause, she added, almost on purpose: “That joke’s been going on longer than his current girlfriend’s been alive.”

So, Nikki thought it would be a good idea to poke fun at the 51-year-old in a very different way, considering the actor has been dating the 27-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti since 2023.
“My writing team and I dug up a Teen Beat article from 1991, ” Nikki said. “I was like, ‘Leo, we know next to nothing about you. The only thing we know about you is that Teen Beat article from 1991, where you told us your favorite food is pasta, pasta and more pasta.'”

“He actually sent me three baskets of pasta as a thank you, ” Nikki revealed. “He sent me pasta. So funny. Extremely good. Part of me was thinking, ‘Is Leo trying to get with me?’ I was like, ‘Okay.’ Then I realised, ‘The kind of girl he goes for wouldn’t be the one he sends pasta to.’ It was a dry pasta.”
However, it was not just Leo’s enthusiasm for pasta that he mentioned in his Teen Beat interview. Apart from discussing his admiration for Lord of the Flies, the Oscar winner also spoke about his interest in basketball, baseball, Pink Floyd and MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This.”
Regarding Leo’s response to her surprise at the Golden Globes? The Titanic star seemed quite pleased as he chuckled and gave Nikki a thumbs up from the audience.
