Jonathan Taylor Thomas Arrested in Westlake Village
Following a report to the police, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who had been a child star, has been charged with obstruction and public intoxication after he was accused of giving a deputy a kick in the stomach. It has come to light from The Daily Mail that after the actor, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, age 45, who was in the cast of the sitcom Home Improvement, the deputies arrested him upon observing that he had prevented them from carrying out a field sobriety test on the driver of a car he was a passenger in. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reportedly said that the arrest was made on the following Monday at a Westlake Village, California, location after a deputy saw that a vehicle was blocking the flow of traffic at an intersection and stopped the car to determine if they could give it a hand. According to a statement released to The Daily Mail by the department, deputies observed that the driver of a vehicle was acting strangely and looked like a man drunk on alcohol, which led them to open an investigation into whether the driver was doing this while under the influence of alcohol. The press release from the police said that as the officers started a series of field sobriety tests that are standard procedures used by the police to determine whether someone they have stopped has been drinking alcohol, if so, the officers will then proceed with detaining that person for driving drunk.
In the statement the deputies describe how Taylor would keep leaving the vehicle and walking up to the deputies, which was distracting as they were conducting the investigation.
Then the deputies decided to hold Weiss for obstruction, while at the same time they charged him with being a publicly intoxicated person in this incident. The release alleged that at that time Weiss [Thomas] delivered a kick to the deputy’s stomach.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas was arrested, brought to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Office, charged with obstruction and public intoxication, and processed there. He was free the very next day, though. The driver, too, was taken into custody for suspicion of drunk driving. The LA County Sheriff’s inmate information service has reported the felony charge against Thomas for alcohol intoxication. A spokesperson for Thomas was unavailable for comment via The Daily Mail. Thomas was one of the top celebrities of the decade. He got great success for his roles in The Lion King, Man of the House, and the series Home Improvement. The series ran for eight years, from 1991 to 1999, with Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson as a couple and three little sons played by children Zachary Ty Brian, Thomas, and Taran. Middle child Randy Taylor was Thomas. He discontinued his career of stage acting in 2006, and the last stage he was involved in was as only a guest star, playing four episodes on Allen’s sitcom Last Man Standing from 2013 to 2015. Thomas’s latest job after 2017 has been to serve on the national board of the entertainment workers’ union, SAG-AFTRA.

Allen, speaking via Us Weekly, admitted that his co-stars’ problems have basically made the idea of a home improvement revamp ‘a very hard nut to crack.’ He explained, ‘They seem to constantly talk about how it can progress, but they end up [because] right now there are some personality-related issues amongst the boys.’
To be honest, they’ve got their own affairs to sort out. It crossed my mind it would be awesome if they were a story. That’s very difficult at the moment, in my opinion. A hit comedy show of the 90s and one of Allen’s career breakthroughs, the film ‘Home Improvement’ also marked the beginning of the sitcom fame for the actor-comedian who was for years solely a successful stand-up comic.
Allen played the lead character, a suburban dad who ran his TV show called Tool Time with his friend Richard Karn, who played his sidekick, and a female character, who was played at least for part of the run of the show by Pamela Anderson.

Thomas was following Allen on to meet the actor and it was the actor who did the voice of young Simba in 1994 for The Lion King. Once Home Improvement concluded, a period of professional stagnation began, and he eventually stopped acting in 2006 except for four appearances in the show made by his former sitcom co-star Robert which actually aired public view 10 years after.
Several years ago, the sitcom actor was speaking to the son played by him on screen and Richard Karn on EW about making the film version of Home Improvement. Suddenly, the lady took back what she had said, arguing that she was informing Thomas whose turn to deny was that Allen did want him on for a new series.
