Jon Wysocki Cause of Death: Original Drummer for Staind Dies at 53!

Jon Wysocki, the drummer for Staind and one of the band’s original members, passed away at 53. Through a statement posted on Instagram, Lydia’s Castle, the musician’s band, made the announcement of his passing on May 18th. “On May 18, 2024, at 8:02 p.m., @jonwysocki4 passed away while he was surrounded by family and friends who loved him deeply. An image of the band members huddled together was included in the message, which said, “An official statement will be developed shortly.” The statement was followed by the photograph. No information on Wysocki’s cause of death has been provided.

On Sunday, May 19, Staind tweeted out a message on Wysocki’s passing. The statement was posted on Instagram. A common buddy introduced us to Jon for the first time in 1994. The year 1995 marked the beginning of Staind, which was established by Mike, Aaron, and Johnny April among us. According to the statement, the 17 years that followed were some of the most memorable moments of our time spent together. Jon was an essential part of our band from the time we were practicing in Ludlow, Massachusetts to the time we were performing all over the globe. We extend our deepest condolences to Jon’s family and all of his devoted followers all across the globe.

At the time, Wysocki was residing in Nashville, Tennessee, as stated on his official Instagram account. Blabbermouth.net, a website that covers hard rock and heavy metal, reports that Wysocki was a member of Staind until 2011. It was stated that Wysocki was terminated from his position with the band during the production of their seventh studio album in 2011.

During his tenure, the band had three consecutive No. 1 albums: Break the Cycle in 2001, 14 Shades of Grey in 2003, and Chapter V in 2005. Every single one of these albums was released during his tenure.
