Ian McKellen was hospitalized on June 17 after falling off stage during a performance in London, according to the BBC. During a performance of Player Kings, a production of Henry IV, at the Noël Coward theater in London, the renowned English actor, who is most well recognized for his roles as Gandalf in the blockbuster Lord of the Rings film trilogy and Magneto in the X-Men movie, had a fall. According to the BBC, the celebrity, who is 85 years old, was participating in a battle scene when he lost his footing, which resulted in the crowd being evacuated.
According to reports from the BBC, McKellen, who plays the role of John Falstaff in the play, allegedly fell off the front of the stage and yelled out in agony as members of the crew hurried to assist him.
