Grace VanderWaal, singer, has revealed that she has canceled her tour due to issues with her mental health.
The 22-year-old AGT winner Vice Viral on Instagram on Monday, March 9, explaining her decision to step back and focus on her well-being.
She commenced, “Hi folks, it’s been a while. I’m glad to be back and chatting with you guys. Regrettably, due to my mental health, I won’t be able to join the Natalie Jane tour. I’ve been mentally struggling for a while and I’m picking myself at this time.”
The singer, keeping it real, acknowledged her love for Natalie Jane and that she will be relentless on stage, expressing regret for those who might be upset at the situation, “I love you Natalie and know you’re going to kill it, and I’m sorry to anyone who’s disappointed. I love you so much and will be singing very soon. Thank you guys for understanding.”
For the tag, she wrote, “I apologize, sending love to all of you.”

Since Grace VanderWaal has made the decision to cancel her tour in order to give her mental health the attention it deserves, not only her fans but other artists as well have taken to the comments section to express their support and encouragement.

Natalie Jane, whose tour VanderWaal was going to be a part of, commented, “Health always comes first!!!”
This is the development that followed VanderWaal’s mother, Tina, who died of cancer, aged 53, after a year and a half of illness. VanderWaal indicated the bereavement in a post on Instagram in October 2025, stating that she “doesn’t have the words at the moment.”

Grace VanderWaal has revealed the deep sorrow she experienced after her mother Tina passed away in October 2025.
“I love you mommy. So much. Every time I wake up I think of calling you. I have no idea how to live without you. I love you,” she posted on Instagram.
VanderWaal posted a picture of herself and her mom at Christmas 2024 on December 25 and shared how hard it had been for her to move on without her. “At Hudson yards last year with you seeing the lights. Merry Christmas mom. I miss your voice. It’s like everything is a void without you. Doing what you’d want me to do, I wish I could talk to you, nothing is the same,” she penned.
VanderWaal became famous in 2016 when she won America’s Got Talent as a 12-year-old. She followed up with her first studio album, Just the Beginning, in 2017 and her latest album, Childstar, came out in April 2025.
