Aryna Sabalenka’s Boyfriend Cause of Death: How Did Konstantin Koltsov Die?

Konstantin Koltsov, the ex-NHL player and partner of tennis superstar Aryna Sabalenka, passed away, according to Miami police. At the time of his passing, Koltsov was in Miami to see Sabalenka compete in the Miami Open competition, which is still going on.

According to reports, the tennis star will continue to compete in the tennis tournament even though they have lost. The year 2021 marked the beginning of Koltsov and Sabalenka’s relationship, during which they constantly shared images and expressions of affection on social media.

That Konstantin Koltsov Died By Suicide!

Konstantin Koltsov’s death was verified by the Miami-Dade Police Department on Monday to People magazine. Koltsov was a former star in the National Hockey League (NHL), and he was in a relationship with Aryna Sabalenka, who is now ranked second in the world in tennis.

The statement issued by the police said, “According to investigators on Monday, March 18, 2024, at approximately 12:39 a.m., Bal Harbour Police and Fire Rescue were dispatched to the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, 9703 Collins Avenue, about a male that jumped from a balcony.”

Additionally, they said that “The Homicide Bureau of the Miami-Dade Police Department responded and has taken over the investigation of the apparent suicide of Mr. Konstantin Koltsov.” There are no indications of misdeeds.”

Koltsov was drafted into the National Hockey League in 1999, marking the beginning of about 18 years of professional ice hockey career. Through his participation in significant competitions, such as the IIHF World Championships and the Winter Olympic Games in 2002 and 2010, he was able to represent Belarus. It was in November of 2016 that he made his formal retirement from playing ice hockey professionally.

Konstantin Was In Miami To Support Aryna Sabalenka

The death of Koltsov was unexpected. His presence in Miami was to provide support to Sabalenka during her participation in the Miami Open, which had just begun on Sunday. His visit to Miami was not out of the ordinary since he often went to follow her while she competed in a variety of tennis competitions.

Koltsov was there to cheer Sabalenka at the Melbourne tennis event roughly two months ago. When she won the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup for the second year in a row, he was there to celebrate with her during the victory.

Aryna Sabalenka Will Still Compete in The Miami Open

Sabalenka will still play in the Miami Open, according to a tweet from The Tennis Letter, even though she will not be able to compete with Koltsov. However, she will not be able to answer any questions that may be posed by the media. The comment section was swamped with words of support from a large number of admirers who were expressing their sympathy for the tennis star.

Koltsov and Sabalenka Started Their Relationship In 2021

Koltsov and Sabalenka started dating in 2021. With a photo from Sabalenka that featured Koltsov kissing her on the cheek, the pair publicly announced their relationship on Instagram. “It’s good when there is someone who is able to understand my madness! ” was the caption that accompanied the photo. Soon after the preliminary launch of their product, Sabalenka and Koltsov began posting images of themselves together on Instagram daily.

“I love you @koltsov2021,” was written in one of the posts, which also included many heart-shaped emojis. The tennis player celebrated his birthday by posting more gorgeous photographs on social media with the comment, “Happy birthday, my love… Among all the people I care about, you are my closest companion and my most steadfast supporter. May the Holy Spirit bless you with peace, strength, patience, and health.

Additionally, Koltsov did not hesitate to demonstrate his affection for Sabalenka in any manner. On International Women’s Day, the former National Hockey League player recognized Sabalenka’s presence in his life by posting a gallery of images of her via his Instagram account. What was said in the caption was, “Happy holiday, my love, I love you madly.”

Koltsov’s death was also verified by the teams with whom he had worked. Salavat Yulaev Ufa, the club in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) where he worked as a member of the coaching staff, was the first to announce a statement uploaded to their website.

According to the announcement, “It is with great sadness that we inform you that Konstantin Koltsov, the coach of Salavat Yulaev, has passed away with great sadness.” The players, his colleagues, and the spectators all admired and respected him because he was a guy who was both powerful and pleasant. For our club’s existence, Konstantin Evgenievich left an indelible mark on the institution.
