Following a beautiful performance of her own song “This Isn’t Over” and a version of Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” during the season 22 finals that took place on Sunday, May 19, Carter was voted the champion of the competition.

There was competition between Carter Will Moseley and Jack Blocker, who finished in second and third place, respectively. The first time the judges were impressed by the vocalist was during her audition when she sang a song by Eilish that was included in the Barbie movie.
