AnnaLynne McCord recently explained that she had become the target of death threats after establishing a crowdfunding site with the help of her fiancé, Danny Cipriani, in preparation for their marriage.
Mr. Cipriani & Mrs. Cipriani will officially be married by themselves on Saturday in the garden of the house they rent in Los Angeles as their first ceremony. Last month, the news came out that former athlete Danny Cipriani, 38, and his girlfriend, actress Annalynne McCord, 39, had asked their guests, family members, and even friends to pay the £10,000 wedding bill themselves.
The unconventional manner of their doing so did raise quite some eyebrows in particular when we know that both of them lead an extravagant Hollywood lifestyle. We hear now from AnnaLynne that the criticisms she received in the wake of the matter were really harsh. She mentioned that when she thought about getting her wedding list to be shared with the wedding guest list only, and actually she was wrong and shared her list publicly!
“They told me I was despicable and that I was trying to extort money from my wedding guests,” she recalled to The Sun. Also, people donated $10 at a time just for that reason: they could write comments on the site about Danny and me being disgusted. Even death threats were coming to her.”

The action was criticized as “tacky and distasteful” by insiders because it was done by “two celebrities who are very much known for their luxury lifestyle.”
Danny is estimated to have earned some £4m during his rugby career, where he represented Wasps, Sale Sharks, Gloucester, Bath, and Melbourne Rebels, apart from being capped 16 times by England. It’s widely reported that AnnaLynne, as well, has accumulated a fortune comparable to her rugby celebrity counterpart. She began her career in the United States with minor television roles but was soon seen in Nip/Tuck and 90210 in the new millennium before going on to play in various stage dramas, including a part that was publicly announced in 2023 in Days of Our Lives.
On their Honeyfund-powered site, the couple was requesting that guests help out by contributing between £75 ($100) and £450 ($600). There are different facets of the festivities that the couple can spend the money on, among them the floral decorations at the venue, the wedding cake, and liquor for the reception after dinner. The total figure that the duo has demanded is £10,660, with no cash donations section.
The actress has mentioned that she got inspiration from all the different gift requests from her guests at the time, and she opened up the website for such requests. She told us, “People thought maybe we needed help or could accept a donation for our wedding. It didn’t even occur to me, but looking back, it might be what they thought. Anyway, that’s when I got the shock of seeing how much stuff I owned already. Five blenders? I’m so far from needing that!”

We stated on the wedding invitation that instead of receiving presents, we really appreciated our guests contributing their creativity in the flowers, music, and to our big day generally. It was only when a castmate at work asked me, “Are you fundraising through crowdfunding for your wedding?” that it came to my attention that it was an open link.
After their wedding on Saturday, the couple has two more ceremonies planned: one in London and a ‘traditional celebration’ in Cambodia. Danny’s family could not attend their Los Angeles wedding, as it was done in such a hurry, so they have decided to have another ceremony in London. They will have one of the ceremonies in London so Danny’s family can attend, as they were not aware of the details of the Los Angeles wedding.
AnnaLynne and Danny had a brief encounter via the dating app Raya over ten years ago, and the actress still calls him her ‘soulmate. They fell in love with each other, and their love life was an on-and-off affair over a number of years; ultimately, they split in 2020. However, they reunited within two years, by 2024. But again in the same year, they parted ways in January 2025.

But, apparently, the two of them didn’t have any animosity because last summer one could see them getting close again, and they kissed at an Emmy nomination party by The McCordon List in July.

According to people, AnnaLynne’s ring is an emerald-cut, 15-carat diamond, with seven round diamonds added on each side of the yellow-gold band. Also, in 2019, Danny found out about Victoria Rose, his ex-wife, and he proposed to her by August 2020.
