Ruby Rose Breaks Ribs in Pool Accident
Ruby Rose spent the night in the hospital after suffering rib injuries due to an accident in a swimming pool.
“RIP to my ribs and to the rest of my summer,” the 40-year-old star wrote along with the video of the incident that occurred last weekend. The clip was posted on Monday on Ruby Rose’s Instagram story. “They are broken, multiple.
In the video, which was set to the 1990 alternative rock song “There She Goes” by The La’s, Rose can be seen clutching a hose as she falls into the pool. “Straight to the hospital; did not pass go or collect 200 dollars,” Rose captioned another clip of the incident. The Australian model, who added a laughing emoji to the post, joked, “That’s your girl!”
Rose shared the video on Threads as well, adding above the clip, “Please come and take me out. I brought this upon myself.

In her follow-up post, Rose wrote how “one second” she is on social media and “the next I’m in the hospital” and joked, “What a bloody Monday.” Rose compared her to another injury she sustained while filming the CW superhero series Batwoman in 2019. She had two herniated discs from stunts and surgery to free her spinal cord from being paralyzed, which left it close to being paralyzed.
“I’m sorry, but what in the f–king dissociation and self-abandonment did I do to return to work on Batwoman the day after breaking my rib and neck?” she wrote in her Threads post. “My rib was killing me!! I couldn’t feel my legs or hands; I was in a batsuit!”

Speaking of Rose’s injuries this time, she said, “I just broke two of my ribs, and I flipped into my own pool ass backwards, and you couldn’t make me put a bra on, much less stand up!”
Ruby is in recovery and invites her fans to keep sending her recommendations: “It’s going to be a matter of several weeks!” The actress departed the series after a single season in 2020, having blamed the show’s executive producers for a toxic work environment which was created for her.

At the time, she accused the executives of forcing her to come back to work after her emergency surgery.
