After‍‌‍‍‌ Breastfeeding, Claudia Oshry Returns to GLP-1 Meds: “The War Is ‍‌‍‍‌Over”

Claudia‍‌‍‍‌ Oshry Reveals a Fun Look At Her Postpartum Health

Claudia Oshry is progressing further in her postpartum health journey.

On December 15, The Toast host, 31, posted on Instagram a video where she shows a glimpse of her life after the birth of her first son, Reuben, with husband Ben Soffer in May. In the video, she is seen taking a cabbage from her fridge and then tearing her animal-print bathrobe to show the compression bra filled with cabbage leaves — a widely known home remedy believed to help suppress the breast milk supply.

After that, she fetches Zepbound, which is the brand name for tirzepatide, a GLP-1 drug that is administered through an injection in the thigh, stomach, or arm in order to reduce appetite and help the body process sugar and fat more ‍‌‍‍‌efficiently.

Claudia‍‌‍‍‌ Oshry Jokes “War Is Over” as She Shifts Postpartum Weight‑Loss Strategy

With the headline “War is over” Claudia Oshry seemed to indicate that she had given up nursing (GLP-1 drugs like tirzepatide have not been approved as safe for breastfeeding women).

In fact, this is not the first time the influencer has talked about GLP-1 drugs – she had previously said that she lost 70 lbs. after her treatment with Ozempic.

The creator who created the buzz on the internet three months ago disclosed that she was returning to Weight Watchers and said that breastfeeding hadn’t resulted in her losing weight automatically.

“The weight doesn’t come off effortlessly when you’re breastfeeding. In fact, it might even do the opposite. You could end up gaining weight. That’s exactly what happened to me,” she told. “I’ve never been so hungry in my ‍‌‍‍‌life.”

Claudia‍‌‍‍‌ Oshry Reveals Change From Breastfeeding to Zepbound in Latest Post

Only a few days back Claudia Oshry posted a video of her “personal chef” Ben Soffer, husband, making Weight Watchers chicken lettuce wrap recipe. “As a breastfeeding mother I eat so much,” she explained. “And I’m obviously trying to keep my weight in check, but I do need to eat because I produce a lot of milk and I have to feed like four times a day.”

However, right now, it seems like she is coming off breastfeeding. Zepbound may be secreted into breast milk, as per the maker Eli Lilly, which probably is the reason why Oshry is using the natural remedy of putting cabbage leaves inside her bra to stop her milk ‍‌‍‍‌supply.
