After the Elordi split, Glen Powell and Olivia Jade Giannulli were spotted having dinner together – plus other famous people who never really dated.

Glen Powell and Olivia Jade Spark NYC Romance Rumors

The two were spotted dining out just weeks after Olivia’s split from Jacob Elordi.
Glen Powell with Olivia Jade Giannulli are the talk of the town as they were spotted together in New York City on Sept. 5. The actress from Anyone But You and the influencer, who just broke up with Jacob Elordi after being on-again, off-again for four years, were seen having dinner at Il Cantinori. They were also joined by Olivia’s mom, Lori Loughlin, and some other people.
From the pictures DeuxMoi got, it seems the night was not over with the duo. They were also seen leaving the Treasure Club bar at around 2 a.m. E! News sought comments from both Glen and Olivia but has not heard back yet.

Life After Jacob Elordi

Olivia has a new beginning in Paris after the breakup.
Just a month after Olivia and Jacob Elordi went their separate ways, Powell’s dinner outing with Olivia took place. The pair, who were quite low-key about their relationship and thus sparked dating rumors in 2021, decided to break up after being together for almost four years.
The YouTuber has since moved to Paris “for a little while,” clarifying she required a change of atmosphere. The 25-year-old, in a recent video, showed her fans how she lives abroad — morning walks with coffee and croissants, shopping for bed linen for her new flat, and even getting ready for Paris Fashion Week.
“Since being in Paris, my week has been super hectic,” Olivia said. “I did the Patou show, the Chanel show, which was really great. Then we went to London by train.”

Glen Powell Now Facing His Own Rumor Mill

The actor reacts to speculation about his rapport with Sydney Sweeney.
Glen Powell was quite busy in 2023 as he broke up with model Gigi Paris and had to fend off several rumors about his relationship with co-star Sydney Sweeney of Anyone But You.
“The two things to pitch a rom-com you have to show are fun and chemistry,” Glen, 36, told The New York Times in April. “Sydney and I do not lack for either. We have a lot of fun and plenty of effortless chemistry.”
Most of the rumors, he said, were due to fans who saw their on-screen relationship and therefore thought it was real. “That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen,” he said. “Sometimes you just have to pretend a bit and it worked perfectly. Sydney is very clever.”

Stars Who Never Actually Dated — Despite Rumors and On-Screen Chemistry

There are numerous Hollywood couples that were once ‘in love’ – in the fans’ minds, at least. The list of famous people who sparked gossip about being in a relationship but still overflew their love life is way too large, encompassing actors with obvious chemistry to long-time pals whose relationship status is not clear.

Emma Watson and Tom Felton

The Harry Potter cast and crew were like one big family and it was impossible to notice things such as that they didn’t get along or so, but their relationship was just friendship. What about Hermione and Draco? Fans have always been curious if there was some love story between Emma Watson and Tom Felton which would be a mix of the two Hogwarts Houses. However, after admitting that she once had a crush on her co-star, Emma only made the rumors grow.
While talking about the Harry Potter 20th anniversary special, she declared that she “had a crush on” Tom during the shooting of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. “Every day I would come looking for his number on the call sheet — it was No. 7 — and if his name was there, it was a super day,” she remembered.Tom conversely told her that she brought to his mind his sister when she was little. Social media after the airing of the special was under the sway of romantic conjectures about the two propagating by the fans. But Emma denied the rumors in an interview with British Vogue saying that, “We talk most of the time, and we just think it’s nice.”

Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer

Ross and Rachel had sparks on-screen — and off-screen too, but never a romance.
Talk about The One Where They Almost Dated. During the 2021 Friends reunion on HBO Max, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer shocked fans by confessing their legendary on-screen chemistry as Ross and Rachel was their real-life one.
“We were both crushed on each other at some point but we never went there,” David told Variety, “we were like two ships passing in the night because one of us was always in a relationship and we never disrespected that boundary. We kept that.”
One occasion, Jennifer told David that if their first kiss was on television, it would be a bummer. But their first real kiss was during filming at Central Perk.
In an interview with Andy Cohen, Jennifer said that having been so attracted to each other they didn’t want to start a relationship off-camera and so they used it for their roles. The result? Ross and Rachel were the best TV lovers that ever happened — even if their off-screen counterparts kept things strictly professional.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet

Titanic not only established their on-screen romance, but also their real lives friendship.
The were no such Jack and Rose in the history of cinema that had the audience so deeply and loyally attached to the characters as the ones from Titanic. Since then, a lot of people have been insisting that Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet would end up together in real life, too. However, it turns out that they have been a great example of friendship. Ever since, they have been there for each other during the prese and the absce of the spotlight. They have done everything together from attending the 1998 Golden Globes to Leo’s kiss gestures during Kate’s 2009 speech at the Golden Globes. It was Leo’s presence that Kate mentioned in her interview with The Guardian last year when she said that they knew they were “partners for life.”

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper

Sparks flew on the performance area, however, the love didn’t disappear from the script. The artistic conflict between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born (2018) – their heartfelt version of “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars, in detail – were the reason for the fans’ assumptions that they were something more than only workmates. Back then, Cooper was with Irina Shayk while Gaga was with Christian Carino, yet rumors only intensified after Gaga’s break-up with Carino right before the Oscars.
Nevertheless, the pair were very clear about their friendship being only work-related. Gaga told Jimmy Kimmel Live! that they had been very close on purpose: “Yes, people saw love — and guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see.” Some time later, Cooper confirmed the same in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter saying they were only doing it for their characters’ love story.

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves

Decades of rumors, a lifelong friendship, but never a romance.
After the screening of Speed, in which they acted together, the rumor began that they were more than just two actors who happened to work together. But Sandra says they didn’t date and tells Esquire: “Nope…but who knows? Keanu’s a guy who I feel like is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. Maybe we could have survived. But we didn’t have to survive anything — we just get to grow up together on parallel roads.”
Keanu and Sandra-though they always maintained a strictly platonic relationship-are clearly very close, after their second collaboration The Lake House in 2006. Sandra has praised Keanu as a great listener and kind person and that she once told him she had never tried champagne and truffles, not long after Speed had been filmed. Nearly at once, both were brought to her by Keanu along with a bouquet of flowers and a simple note that read “I just thought that perhaps you may want to try champagne and truffles, just to be able to say you’ve tasted the two.””.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone

Three movies, undeniable chemistry, but just friends in real life.
Film fans have endless admiration and love for the pairing of Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, who have been lovers in three movies, the most talked about being La La Land. Their on-stage spark was the main reason for dating rumors for the past years, but the actors have always declared that their connection was only there in the set.
Anyway, their professional association turned into an authentic friendship. At a 2018 Telluride Film Festival Q&A, Emma termed Ryan as a “lovable, great friend,” further adding, “I don’t think I could live without Ryan… he’s so unique. This makes me so emotional.”
Emma has also joked about their multiple partnerships, once telling E! News with a smile: “Ryan ‘has a restraining order against me now.’ ” Likewise, Ryan celebrated her, claiming that their long-standing relationship gave them the advantage as scene partners: “It really makes the best [of us] because you know one another, and you are able to do the work that you can’t if you are strangers.”

John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer

Jim and Pam were really nice together, but John and Jenna were friends, that’s all. Among all the couples in television, Jim and Pam from The Office are most likely the best and the most loved ones.Fans spent nine seasons cheering them on, although John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer kept their charming off-screen dialogue from turning into an off-screen romance.
Jenna made this clear while appearing on Watch What Happens Live in 2016 when she said, “There’s a real part of me that is Pam and a real part of him that’s Jim — and those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another. But in reality…we’re not the perfect match. He was like a type of husband that I had for a long time, and for that reason, we’ll always be close.”
But John weighed in on her remarks with The Daily Beast, saying they were misunderstood but reaffirming the great honor of being chosen as one of those legendary TV couples. And in any case, fans will always have the memories of Jim, Pam — and the teapot, among others.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence

Co-starring in several movies led to rumors but they were never close to the truth.
One of the most recurrent Bradley Cooper’s co-star romance rumor bulletins (except for Lady Gaga) was Jennifer Lawrence. Their getting together made an impression after they were in Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and Serena, and not only a few people noticed their off-screen (as well as on-screen) chemistry.
However, neither of them has ever taken these rumors seriously. At the 2013 Golden Globes, Bradley Cooper was amused and said to ET: “Oh God, no. That’s very funny. No, my God, no.” In reply to this, Howard Stern said to Bradley Cooper two years later: “When is it that you will have sex? That’s what everyone is waiting for.” To which Bradley replied: “Never. It is simply that we do not match. “Still, their association has been marked by mutual respect and recognition, albeit not affection, in spite of the gossip.”

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson

First, they acted great together in the rom-com, but then they well kept their relationship strictly professional.
The two actors became Hollywood’s on-screen couple after their joint performance in 2003’s How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (and later reunited in Fool’s Gold). Their jesting chemistry made the audience eager to see them both in real life, but that never happened.
During a 2020 interview with Howard Stern, Matthew confessed that the idea of a romance with a co-star never actually came into his mind. “I’ve always tried to keep it professional, and the people I worked with, I have to say, were great at it,” he told. “Maybe there were certain times when we had some kind of feelings for each other, but we always just maintained the professional line.”
Their confession put the fan’s hopes of a real-life love story to an end just like that poor love fern.

George Clooney and Julia Roberts

A-list best friends with off-the-charts chemistry, purely platonic.
These A-list best friends have such an off-the-charts on-screen chemistry (remember Ocean’s Eleven) that goes on off-screen in a purely platonic way. Their friendship is visible in their laugh-filled interviews, touching public speeches, and also when George, as an extremely special gift, gave his Lake Como home to the Roberts-Moder family for their anniversary. NBD!

Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen

Years of chemistry, but the bond has always been platonic.
Besides the Times Square ball drop, another New Year’s Eve ritual is the speculation by fans as to whether Anderson Cooper and CNN′ housemate Andy Cohen are secretly more than just friends. Both have dismissed the idea with laughter, with Andy once telling Howard Stern, “We’re just friends. We’re quite familiar with each other and we’re neither attracted to each other in that way.”
In fact, their friendship dates back to more than 25 years ago when they were set up on a blind date. But during the scheduling call, Anderson realized in “45 seconds” that it would never be a love affair — particularly after Andy broke what Anderson called a “cardinal rule” by asking about his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt. Andy later confessed, “I wanted to date the Vanderbilt boy! I was thrilled!” Instead, they made a lifelong friendship out of it that fans now cannot imagine New Year’s Eve without.

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Shipped by fans in (500) Days of Summer, but the friendship remained platonic.
Popular 2009 indie rom-com (500) Days of Summer co-starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the two actors no time after were a fan-favorite pairing. Their clever chemistry on-screen — and sincere friendship off it — kept the fans alive with hopes for several years that the two were more than just a secret beyond-the-camera.
Nevertheless, Gordon-Levitt ended the rumor in a 2012 Playboy interview, saying an awkward feeling would be the case if he were to date Zooey. Also, he informed that it was just the two of them who had been good friends for ten years while she, Zooey, had stressed how great it was to work with him. Finally, characters Tom and Summer turned out to be fictional communities — and Zooey and Joseph stayed friends.

Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale

Disney Channel darlers with sibling vibes, not romance.
Before Zac Efron’s relationship with High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens got confirmed, there were rumors about him being secretly in a romantic relationship with their mutual friend Ashley Tisdale. The speculations were fueled further by Zac his guest appearance in a 2006 episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as Ashley’s love interest.
However, Ashley always denied the rumors of a romance, telling Zac she loved him “brother/best friend” and once even said he was her worst on-screen kiss. “It was the worst because he’s like my brother,” she elaborated, describing how Zac attempted to kiss her “with his tongue” on a Disney Channel set. “I closed my mouth so fast. I was like, ‘This is Disney Channel, we don’t kiss like that on Disney Channel!’”
After the uncomfortable on-screen moment, the two still keep a very strong friendship, which is the proof that they were always more sibling than romantic.

Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman

From Disney sweethearts to lifelong best friends.
The High School Musical fans adored Chad and Taylor’s teenage love after that, but Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman off-screen left the Disney franchise with a friendship for life instead.
They were reunited for the 2021 Lifetime holiday film A Christmas Dance Reunion. On Instagram, Corbin expressed his delight, “After 13 years it felt like coming home working and dancing with [Monique] again. I have always dreamed of starring in a [Lifetime] Christmas movie but never in a million years would I have imagined that I would be able to share the screen with one of my favorite people.”
Monique has similarly expressed that feeling and even hoping for more future projects together. At one point, she compared their relation to famous Hollywood couples like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan or Leo and Kate Winslet when she talked to People. “I really feel like we have that potential,” she said, “and I’d like to see that happen.”

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson

Mulder and Scully had moments, but the actors were not on good terms.
Both on-screen and off-screen, things were very different for David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. When promoting X-Files, David confessed in a 2008 interview with Metro UK that they were “at each other’s throats all the time.” He went on to say: “Familiarity breeds contempt. We were always arguing over nothing. We couldn’t stand the sight of each other.”
Fans still felt the tension and kept shipping Mulder and Scully like a real-life romance, which is why their 2021 photo of having a meal together drew so much attention. David replied jokingly to the incident when speaking to People: “She said, ‘Let’s take a picture,’ and I was out the door. People told me the photo caused a big reaction, and I don’t usually get that kind of attention — but it’s really cool that after all these years, fans are still interested.

Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson

MCU chemistry, but not a real-life love story.
Marvel fans have been shipping Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson for a long time, who have been co-actors in eight films since their first collaboration, 2004’s The Perfect Score. But their relationship has always been the Avengers versus the world, as they never derailed their on-stage notoriety to go off-stage.
Also, Scarlett and Chris became a deep friendship and a comfort that worked for their on-screen relationship. As Scarlett told Entertainment Weekly in 2020, “It’s really just the result of going through 10 years of knowing somebody and being able to have this kind of intimacy with them which I think you only get from sheer time with somebody and knowing their vulnerable side.”
