Eternal Love Star Alan “Yu” Menglong Dies at 37
Netflix’s Eternal Love star Alan “Yu” Menglong has passed away due to a fall, his team announced in a statement. He was 37 years old.
The actor is deeply grieving by the fans all over the world. He went off the edge of an apartment building in Beijing’s Chaoyang district on Sept. 11.
“We are extremely sad to inform you that our dear Menglong had an accident and died on Sept. 11,” a statement posted on Weibo, as reported by Asia One, said. “Police have found no trace of a crime. We wish him eternal peace and the people that he loves a lot of strength.”

From Music to Screen Stardom
Menglong’s credits as an actor are The Legend of the White Snake, Love Game in Eastern Family, and Go Princess Go, the last of which gave him a national fame in China.
Before he gained fame as an actor in the movies, Menglong attempted to establish himself as a singer first. He took part in several Chinese singing contests like My Show! My Style and two seasons of Super Boy. In the 2013 season of Super Boy, he ranked among the top ten contestants and in 2014 released the single “Just Nice”. He then continued with his first album, Toy, one year later.
Fans Pay Tribute
Fans reacted to the news of his death and expressed their grief on various social networks. A photo of the late actor and the comment: “It’s so hard for a million different reasons,” was shared on X by one of the fans.
One more homage text said, “It is really unfortunate that he died in such an unexpected manner. May he rest in peace.”

Since the tragic demise of Menglong was initially reported by local Beijing paparazzi, it has been acknowledged by numerous fans that they are still having a hard time accepting the news.
“The first thing I thought when I heard this news was that I wanted not to believe it because I considered it to be a rumor,” a fan commented on X. “Yu Menglong, you will surely be missed.”
Menglong’s last performance was a guest role in an episode of Feud, which was impromptu and he finished it well.
