Patricia Heaton is keeping it light and strong while dismissing the critiques about her gray hair.
Heaton, 68, did not ignore some social media comments when an Instagram user said that she was “too young for gray, old lady hair.” In a video posted on Wednesday, Heaton took the comment up, one-on-one.
“Some of you seem really worried about my silver hair,” she stated.
The star of the show joked that although she has gotten used to some signs of getting older, box hair dye is definitely not one of them.
“There are some things that come up in life that I’ve just decided to accept,” Patricia Heaton chuckled. “And one of those things is not boxed hair dye.”

Although some social media users have criticized her for it, Patricia Heaton is determined to go with her gray hair and is even quite happy about it.
“Those who truly love me definitely don’t mind what color I dye my hair; that’s my true circle of friends, ” the actress said in a video response where she was addressing the comments on her silver hair. “In fact, perhaps we all can continue learning to accept things the way they are and be thankful for what we have.”

Patricia Heaton thinks the family relationships in Everybody Loves Raymond were the most genuine, so only a few of the storylines went beyond the cast members’ experiences.
In an interview with PEOPLE in June 2025, Heaton looked back at the great connection she had with Ray Romano and the other members of the sitcom cast.
“We have this amazing relationship,” she stated. “If the writers’ characters’ home lives had some issues, they would create stories around that.” Heaton further stated that most of the time, the scripts brought her the feeling of a personality connection. “A script would come to me, and it would be the exact circumstances at my house with my husband,” she explained.

For a moment, Heaton reacted like she and Ray Romano were really married—and caught herself thinking, “Wait, am I jealous of that actress? He’s cheating on me.” “So I guess that’s what made it feel like a real marriage,” Heaton says the show was just too “perfect” to remake. She added, “Plus, we’ve lost so many of the cast now, too.”Heaton said.” Right? A reboot wouldn’t really work because it just wouldn’t be the same show.”
